Chapter 72: Ryuuki Likes Jyuusan

Ryuuki, Shuuei, and Seiran watched from afar as Jyuusan and five of her lady soldiers were surrounded by bullies from the army. They sighed. How many years have they been watching Jyuusan fight off the bullies all alone and stop themselves from helping? They're glad she has trained soldiers now, by her side.

''They never learn do they,'' Shuuei scratched his head.

''Why are you so calm about this? Those men are skilled too you know. By the looks of it they are from the Right Uringun Army,'' Ryuuki noted.

''No wonder Jyuusan said that her brother is useless,'' Seiran teased.

''What? Jyuusan said something like that? You're making up things,'' Shuuei protested. ''As if my sister needs help from me. She does not need rescuing you know.''

Seiran and Ryuuki cannot help but nod at that as they watched Jyuusan sweep the ground with three of the misbehaved soldiers and make another one drop to the ground. Each of her military officer had also made some of their bullies unconscious.

One was nearly stabbed but Jyuusan was quick to protect her soldier. She covered her to parry the blow but another stabbed. One of her soldier was quick to protect Jyuusan too. They are not going to let anyone from their side get hurt.

They defeated all their bullies despite being totally outnumbered by skilled soldiers from the Right Uringun. They started tying up the bullies. They would be hanged upside down trees until when they apologize.

''That's good teamwork,'' Ryuuki beamed.

''Those ladies sure have learned a lot from their General,'' Seiran said with a smile. ''Somehow these feels nostalgic. I remember those five always groaning after trainings when they were new. Jyuusan often scolded them.''

''You helped train them too Mr. Assistant,'' Shuuei said.

Seiran glared at him. ''I only helped in her demo's and when she's not feeling well.''

''That still counts Seiran,'' Ryuuki smiled at his brother. Then he blinked when he saw Shuurei pass by and notice the commotion and quickly run to Jyuusan.

''Now the bullies shall be given their punishment. The Official Killer had just sighted them. Good luck daishogun (Grand General) Haku,'' Shuuei chuckled.

''Right. Now Shuurei saw them, I'm sure she would investigate this and report to the high officials in the military,'' Ryuuki said with hopeful eyes. ''I'm really glad we have Shuurei. I'm tired of watching Jyuusan and the other women soldiers get bullied.''

Seiran smiled but he is worried a little that this may endanger Shuurei too. ''Oujo-sama will surely investigate this fearlessly. I hope she don't get herself in danger,'' he said as she watched Shuurei taking down notes as Jyuusan and the lady soldiers talked.

''Shuurei-dono does not get afraid of taking risks. Maybe she'll make you write a bill regarding this bullying,'' Shuuei mused at Ryuuki. They watched and sweat-dropped as the bullies were tied upside down the trees after Shuurei left.

''I wonder why that's her favorite punishment,'' Seiran muttered.

''I don't know either,'' Shuuei scratched his head.

''She really acts like a man when she is in her armor and around soldiers. Even her own soldiers are often surprised when they see her acting like a woman. Many thought she is a tomboy and prefers women,'' Seiran stated.

''Maybe that's to keep her safe and away from ministrations and assaults of men,'' Ryuuki stated matter-of-factly. Shuuei nodded.

''I guess. But due to that some of her soldiers seemed to be in love with her. One had sobbed when she was informed by her seniors that Jyuusan is a woman at heart. The others had said they don't care anymore if she's a man or a woman as long as they love her,'' Seiran sweat-dropped.

''I didn't know about that,'' Shuuei's interest was picked.

''I overheard them talking and teasing each other while Jyuusan is not yet in the training ground,'' Seiran informed.

''That's because Jyuusan is adorable. Whether she's a man or a woman she really will get a lot of lovers. Everything about her can make a man fall in love,'' Ryuuki praised. Seiran and Shuuei looked at each other and listened closely to Ryuuki.

''She is gentle and caring once she turns lady-like. She is manly and protective when she is in the army. No matter what side of her they would see, no wonder the soldiers would still fall in love her. She's brave and strong. But she is also beautiful and loving. Her perceptiveness and benevolence attracts people around her,'' Ryuuki honestly observed.

Seiran and Shuuei eyed each other. ''Have you fallen for her too Your Majesty?'' Shuuei asked.

''I have always like Jyuusan,'' Ryuuki smiled.

Seiran's eyes widened at the thought of that woman becoming his sister. ''Are you planning to take her in the Inner Palace as a consort? Or would you marry her as the Empress''

Ryuuki sighed. ''I like Jyuusan's presence in the military just as I like Shuurei in the Censorate. I think we'll never get married brother. We have chosen women who are really hard to get.''

''Eh?''

''I would have fallen for Jyuusan too if only I met her before Shuurei. What I am saying is that, Shuurei is always driving me away and I'm sure Jyuusan would do that to you too,'' Ryuuki said to Seiran.

''What? Why am I suddenly involved here?''

''If I'll see you marry, it would only be Shuurei or Jyuusan,'' Ryuuki envisioned. ''But as to what I see now, I think it will be Jyuusan,'' he concluded.

''What the – don't go pairing me up with that little monster. You can have her as your consort if you want. Don't throw her at me if you like her,'' Seiran protested.

''I like Jyuusan too, but not the way I like Shuurei. I like Jyuusan to be my sister,'' Ryuuki smiled and if he was not wearing his crown, Seiran would have hit him on the head.

Shuuei just watched with an amused expression as the two brothers talked.
