"Klaus is still gone," Marcel announces. I stare outside as the rain patters against the windowsill.
"What's he doing anyways?"
"Apparently some vampires were murdered and he had to go out of town to get some help," He seems annoyed, which I try to ignore.
Klaus has been out for more than four days, and I'm starting to grow worried. I shouldn't because I know he can take care of himself, but still, it was scary.
"But on the bright side, we don't have to worry about his childish, incessant ways until he's back. How about we go out to a bar tonight or something, hm?" His lips linger on my neck, but I gently push him away. I don't know what was up with me, but I really don't want to be around anybody other than... Klaus, really. Not until I know he's safe.
"I'm a little tired," It was only four in the afternoon, but the sun was slowly disappearing. He gives me a worried glance.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, nothing. I just don't feel like going out tonight is all. I'm fine. But hey, you should get out of the house a bit. Have a guys night," I gently squeeze his arm, and he pecks my lips.
"Are you sure? Just a few days ago you were more than excited to do a little more than kissing, now you're all reserved," he frowns.
"Nothing, I'm just tired, really," I tell him.
"Okay. I'll miss you," he finally lets it go. It's almost as if I could feel the lie, but I ignore it. He'll miss you. Stop overthinking it. He's not using you. Damn Klaus for getting in my head even when he wasn't here.
"I'll miss you too. Now go, have fun," I smile. He brings me in for a last kiss before smirking, heading off. The silence after he closes the door calms me, letting me release a breathy sigh I didn't know I was holding in.
Klaus
"Rebekah!" I cry for help weakly, the vervain feeling like razor blades are cutting into my throat. The room is dark, making me unable to see anything. We must be in a basement or something.
"N-Nick?" Her voice is even weaker than mine. I can't see her, so she must be behind me. I shake my chains, attempting to get out.
When Rebekah and I found out who actually killed the vampires, we immediately murdered them. But apparently they had friends, witches in particular. God I hate witches. They used some stupid spells on us, tied us up, and brought us here.
"We'll get out of here little sister. I will kill the people that bring harm to us. Don't worry."
"What if we can't get out Nicklaus? What then?" She asks, worried. I pause before taking in a sharp breath.
"I don't know."
