Flat mates [completed]

Luke was a guy I'd met at a fair and we'd been friends ever since. The only problem was I was head over heels in love with him, but he was with someone else. He'd even admitted to me he didn't want to be with his girlfriend, Willow, anymore but he cared about her and knew she'd be heartbroken.

About half an hour after his text, Luke arrived and gave me a hug before I welcomed him in. Calum was still sleeping in his room after our 4am shopping trip.

"Wow,I like your place." Luke smiled, making himself at home by slouching on the sofa. "Thanks, we spent a while decorating it." I replied. He turned to face me and his facial expression was deadly serious. "I have to tell you something really important."

"What? What's wrong?" I asked worriedly. I didn't know what was going on. "Willow told me she's pregnant. What am I supposed to do?" He got up and started frantically walking around the living room. "I'm twenty years old Megan. I can't have a child."

"Maybe you're just panicking Luke." I smiled calmly, bringing Luke back to the sofa and sitting him down. "I'm sure everything's going to be ok. How does willow feel?" I asked.
"She's over the moon." He sighed. "I had to pretend I was so happy for us but I'm not Megan." He threw his head into his hands.

At this moment, Calum came walking out with a confused expression plastered on his face. "Calum, this is my friend Luke, and this is my flat mate." I introduced them both. "Nice to meet you." Calum smiled. "But I can't help but feel I interrupted something. I'll go back into my room-"

"No it's fine." I cut him off. "Me and Luke are going into my room."
"I don't even love her Megan you you know this." Luke whined as I took him into my room, Calum giving me a smile as I closed my bedroom door. "Ok, let just forget about her for today. Pick a film and I'll get us some food. Just please stop talking about Willow."

Luke knew I had feelings for him which made it worse when he went on about Willow all the time. I grabbed some popcorn from the kitchen and briefly explained to Calum why Luke was here before joining Luke again. "Mean girls?" I laughed. "It's my favourite-"
"It's you're favourite film I know." I finished his sentence for him and we watched the movie in a comfortable silence.

"Hey, I'm sorry for talking about Willow so much, I know it's a little awkward for you." Luke said whilst we were watching our third film, which just so happened to be my favourite Aladdin. "It's not awkward, just sad to see how much you actually care for her." I replied, knowing it sounded really selfish.

Luke looked over to me, his eyes flicking between my eyes and my lips before he kissed me. I kissed him back, but quickly pulled away when I realised how wrong it was. Sure we'd kissed before, we'd kissed a few times actually, but it was different this time. "I'm sorry Luke, it's just, you're having a child."
"You told me not to talk about that today." He frowned. "I know and I'm sorry, but we can't do whatever that was under these circumstances."

"You kissed me too!" Luke stood up from the bed, trying to defend himself. "Yeah, but I stopped. You have a girlfriend."
"That hasn't stopped you before." He said, his voice a little quieter now. "Well, it stops now, we can't continue this anymore. I think you should leave."

"Why would you kick me out? I'm here Megan. I'll leave Willow for you."
"You can't leave her while she's carrying your child Luke!" I yelled. "Fine, okay. I'll go. I'm sorry." He quickly slid on his shoes and grabbed his jacket. I heard the front door close and suddenly burst into tears. I pulled the duvet over me and cried into my pillow.

"Listen Megan, I know we're not really that close yet, but is it ok if I hug you?" Calum asked, entering my room. I nodded and he rushed over and hugged me without asking for an explanation.
