Chapter 1:
Joselyne's POV

*2 1/2 weeks ago*
"HOW COULD YOU, in the vows you wrote to me you said YOU'D BE A LOYAL PARTNER!" you heard your dad scream at your mom
" I swear it meant nothing " your mom said weeping
Your brother dad and yourself just found out your mom has been having an affair with a doctor in the little gated community. You were disappointed, but you realized you weren't the one she made a vow to stay loyal to so you could see your dads point of view.

"I'm gunna settle this is court, we are getting a divorce and I'm taking Joselyne for as long as I can away from you" and with that your dad fixed his tie and walked upstairs slamming the door shut.

*present day*
"Joselyne I hear by appoint you to live with your father, Rolland Spencer, for the last year before becoming a legal adult, and 2 La Jolla city Police Officers are to be present during the move to keep the peace"
She slams the last gavel on her desk twice and the court disperses.
You hug your mom then get in your dads car and drive off the start packing.

Your dad had already purchased a penthouse in LA near his office, your dad was a retired lawyer and current owner of the basketball team Clipper.

When you walked into the penthouse you almost did a little squeal of excitement. You quickly got all your stuff out of the truck.
"Pumpkin, your room is up the staircase, down the hall, second doorway on the right.." Your dad didn't even finish his sentence before you started to run upstairs...
"I even gave you a city view" he shouted as you ran down the hall

I mean you knew your family was rich but your dad usually liked the old money fashion, simple life. But this is was almost a dream come true.
You knew you were gunna change the mirror above the fireplace with a TV and add all your beach stuff in here.
"Do you like it?" Your dad says walking into your room
"I love it dad thank you so much" you
say giving him a big ole bear hug.
"I'll let you get settled in, but first let me introduce u to Roselina, she's the housekeeper"
"Pleasure to finally meet you miss Spencer" Roselina says shaking your hand and bowing to you almost
"Oh please call me Joselyne or Jay"
Your dad and Roselina leave the room at that.

You jumped on the bed and started to unpack your stuff, hanging up all your clothes

When you got a call from your mom.
(M-mother)
(Y-you)

Y: hi mommy
M: hi sweetheart how's the new house you're comfortable?
Y: very I have my own bathroom

The housekeeper seems really nice and I have a fireplace
M: well I'm glad you're happy, mayb we could grab lunch one day I'll talk to you soon, I love you oh so much you know that right
Y: of course, tell Jacob (brother who is 18 that decided to stay with mom, for college purposes) I say hi
M: I will buh bye sweetheart
Call ended

You just couldn't wait to start your new life because you could re-create your whole image.
You started to close your eyes as you turned on your wave machine to put you to sleep.
