"Come on Hana," Mai whined, "We haven't done anything cool together in foreverrr."
Mai flopped down on Hana's bed, sighing dramatically.Hana chuckled, shaking her head and turning back to her text book. Miss Shizuka assigned a five page essay on why Bower keeps kidnapping Princess Pear. Mai had muttered something about Shizuka getting dumped again.
"Hana are you even listening to me?" Mai asked, sitting up slightly to look at Hana.
"Yes Mai," Hana chuckled, "You want to do something this weekend."Mai nodding, going back to her rant on how bored she was and how Shizuka was trying to ruin everyone's social lives by assigning these papers.
Mai was probably the best person Hana could have had for a roommate. Sure she could be a little overwhelming, but she helped Hana out of her shell. They balanced each other out, Mai helping Hana stand up for herself and Hana telling Mai when to back down.
"You should invite the boys." Mai said, pulling Hana out of her thoughts.
"What one's?" Hana asked.Sure she knew who Mai was talking about. She was talking about none other than The Normal Boots Club, the club Hana was apart of.
The Normal Boots were just a bunch of friends who played video games, simple as that. There was another group like the Normal Boots called The Hidden Block club, and even though the two clubs were rivals in game tournaments, the two clubs were pretty close. Hana's best friend, aside from Mai, was in the Hidden Block Club. There was a small part of Hana hoping that Mai ment inviting the Hidden Block boys to do something, but that probably wouldn't be the case.
Hana looked over at Mai, who was deep in thought with this question. She didn't think it was that hard to answer.
"Just invite all of them." She said, still thinking.
"What are we going to do?" Hana asked curiously.
"You'll see." Mai giggled and started looking something up on her phone.***
Mai had stayed silent the whole night, Hana had actually become worried. Mai had never been this quiet, except when she was asleep, but Hana could hear Mai tapping away on her phone and see the faint glow coming from the top bunk.
The next morning was no different, Mai avoided any question Hana asked about what they were doing that day, and if she did respond it was usually 'just wait' or 'you'll see.'
By the time they had all made it to the train station, Hana had given up on asking Mai. The boys had tried to ask, since Hana's text didn't give much information, Hana would shrug her shoulders saying she didn't know while Mai would giggle saying just wait.
The train had arrived and everyone slowly boarded. The older passengers looked wearily at the group and held their belongings closer.
Hana chuckled to herself, they all probably looked weird, fifteen confused looking boys being lead by a giggling girl, Hana trailing behind.
Mai ended up sitting in a compartment with Jared, Satch, and John. She winked as Hana passed and Hana just chuckled some more. Mai had the hugest crush on Jared, and the past few weeks they had been becoming more and more close.
"Hana." a voice called, "In here."
Hana turned to the compartment on her left to see Ian, Jimmy, and Luke. She smiled as she entered. "Hey guys."
"So," Ian started, looking at Hana inquisitively, "What are we being dragged to?"
The smile on Hana's face fell, she didn't know, and knowing Mai it could be anything from a simple day out exploring the town to trying to sneak into fancy clubs to going to an aquarium. Mai was a wild card.
