I can't sleep...it gets boring staring at the ceiling, but I find myself daydreaming or just thinking for hours as I stare. I look over at Sshadee, I can't tell if he's sleeping since he's still wearing his glasses. Seto is laying beside him, hugging his arm, Ian is laying beside me, his glasses on the dresser.
Why is Sshadee wearing his glasses...? Is he even sleeping?
I sit up slowly, being careful not to wake anyone up. I sit up on my knees and slowly inch my hand towards Sshadee's glasses, but before I could get anywhere near them, "Don't even think about it."
I sit there for a moment before saying anything, "You're awake?"
"Yes." He says bluntly.
"Why don't you take those off." I ask.
Silence.
"Why aren't you answering me?" I ask, glancing over at Ian to make sure my loud voice didn't wake him up.
"Just because you ask, does not mean I have to answer." He tells me.
I sigh before slowly getting up and going over to the door, I look out the little window and out at the hall. A few dim lights keeping the hallway lit up enough for staff to see where they're going. I try the door knob, slightly confused as it turns and I'm able to open the door. The doors usually automatically lock at a certain time, but it looks like ours stayed open.
Weird.
I look back at the others, all of them fast asleep, except Sshadee of course, but I don't think he cares if I leave. He knows if he moves he'll wake up Seto.
I hesitantly step out into the hall and look both ways, making sure no staff are around, a light in the distance flickers and I swear I saw someone under the light for just a split second. Ignoring the feeling of being watched, I walk towards the front desk, cautiously aware of my surroundings so no guards see me. The front desk is quiet, no nurse in sight. I go over to the desk, a clip board laying on top. I take a look at the paper, I may not be able to read, but I don't need to, to understand that they're signatures for the visitors. Ian must have signed my name for me, because I see my name and Ian's, beside his is Seto's name. I look at mine, but I don't see a name, just a blank. I can't really read the other names but I know each person here that had a visitor today had to sign along with that said visitor. But I had a visitor too...right? I'm about to look around more when I hear a high pitched screeching noise, like something sharp rubbing up against glass or a chalk board. I quickly jump over the desk and duck, hiding behind it before I'm seen by whoever is making the noise. The noise was so annoying and high it hurt my ears, so I had to cover my ears. I was glad when it was over, but curiosity got the best of me and as soon as it did stopped, I slowly look up. The windows in the room had words carved into it.
Miss me?
A heart is drawn beside it.
My eyes widen as a bright light is thrown in my face, the light coming from a flashlight.
A guard shines the light at the window before shining it back at me, "Was that you!? How did you get out of your room!?" He asks, coming closer.
I flinch at the light and hold my hand out to block it.
The guard clicks a button on his little radio and talks into it, a few more voices coming out, "What's your name." He demands.
I try to climb back over the desk but the light is blinding me so bad that I kind of just fall over and hit the floor face first. The guard grabs my arm and yanks me back up on my feet, which makes me dizzy and I stumble around trying to catch my balance again. He gets closer and shines the flashlight in my eyes, in return, I shove my hand on the flashlight to block any light from coming out.
