I ran out onto the sidewalk in a fluster, clutching the heart pendant that sat on my chest tightly as if it had the ability to whirl me back into the safety of Chase's arms.
"Belle, please listen to me!" I heard Caleb call as I shot my eyes left to right trying to find a thought process through the thick panic that clouded my mind. "Go away Caleb!" I screamed before having my arms swept behind my back by the strength of heavy handed leather limbs. Now screaming as I attempted to kick my way out of the stronghold of the muscled stranger, I turned to see Caleb in the same predicament that I was.
His face was flushed with ghostly wonder as he struggled to free himself from the clutches of the solid stranger who wore a blue leather jacket and apprehended Caleb's tall body with ease.
"Antonio's men!" I exclaimed as the realization hit my mind, causing one of the Lurches to let out a low grumble of a laugh. "Are you happy now Caleb?!" I screamed looking to his face with a look of pure frustration painted over my own. "This is what you have done!!" He didn't respond to my taunts as he continued to stare into oblivion with a look of dread set heavily in his previously happy eyes.
The door to the office opened and leather snake skin shoes stepped out onto the top step, causing Antonio to look down and gaze upon Caleb and I with hate filled eyes and a snickering smile.
Through the high pitched screams and slapping noises of our feet hitting the pavement through each kick, I heard a slight noise as though the scene before me had muted allowing a pin drop to be heard from a hundred feet away. . .

The sound of a gun's trigger being cocked shot through my ears as though it was the only noise in a quiet, sleeping street. Pure fear swept through my veins as I considered my short life finishing here – on the pavement in front of Aztec Productions.
"Now Now boys" Antonio's heavy accent emitted through the air. "That's not any way to treat our friends is it?" He moved his hand in a cutting motion in front of his throat causing the two men to drop Caleb and I from our hold immediately.
I jumped backwards, turning to meet the face of the stranger who had held us against our will, only to be surprised to see four men standing where only two once were. Behind the two Lurches in blue leather jackets, stood two equally as large men wearing black leather jackets, holding guns pointed to Antonio's men's temples.
The blue leather jacketed men slowly rose their hands as they mimicked the direction of their ringleader Antonio.
"Get the fuck away from here and don't let me see your faces anywhere near the girl again!" one of the men in a black jacket yelled through gritted teeth.
Within moments, Antonio and his counterparts were safely in the confines of a black, heavily tinted Mercedes Benz that screeched up the road and out of sight.
"Are you okay Miss?" the same man that had yelled moments before asked as he disabled his gun and moved in to gently squeeze my upper arm.
"Ye..Yes" I muttered as relief hit my body like a mallet to a gong, radiating slowly through each limb as it left me vibrating in shock.
"Come with me, we will get you home to Mr Thomas" he said as he ushered Caleb and I to an SUV that sat parked close by.
