Scarlett
Scarlett woke up to a knock on her bed room door. She got up slowly, walking to the door and unlocked it. She put her head on the wall still very sleepy because she didn't sleep that well last night.
"Well good morning to you too sleepy head" said a very chirpy voice. Scarlett looked up to see her sister, Sara. Scarlett mumbled in response.
"Oh come ooonnn, its your birthdaaaayyyy!!! sleepy head book worm!" It was Scarlett's nickname. Scarlett looked up wide eyed, she had completely forgot.
"Oh and mom and dad want you downstairs right now but they at least want you hair and teeth brushed. Nobody likes to smell morning breath." Sara said and waved her hand in front of her face smiling.
Scarlett smiled back and pulled her sister into a hug. "Ok I'll be down in 1 minute."
"Ok!" Sara squealed and ran off. Even though she's 2 years older than Scarlett she acts like she's 2 years younger than her.
Scarlett shook her head and went to the bathroom that was in the hall where all the room doors were. She brushed her hair and teeth she didn't need a shower because she took one last night. She put her hair into a messy bun and walked downstairs.
"Happy birthday sweet heart! How did you sleep? you know today is your 17th birthday and you can find a mate now!!!" It was Scarlett's mother and she seemed to be very happy.
Like always Scarlett thought, smiling.
"Happy birthday sweetie, and how was your sleep?" Said her father in a kind voice.
"It, was kinda rough, but I still got some seep dad and thank you for asking mom and dad. And yes mom I know I can find my mate but I don't really want one right now I think I can wait just a little longer." Scarlett said with a giggle.
"Hello Scarlett and happy birthday" it was Sara's mate they only lived a mile or so away and he said that Scarlett could visit anytime she wanted with her sister. He was such a nice mate to Sara and Scarlett wanted to have a mate as nice as him.
"Thank you Jacob, you and Sara look very nice today." He was in a suit and Sara was in a beautiful purple dress that was decorated with flowers. He smiled proudly and held Sara tighter to his side.
"Oh its what Sara picked out for me thank you, but I bet you will look even better in your dress that you have for today." Scarlett blushed. She didn't really like to hear comments on how she looked.
"Oh um sorry I kinda forgot" Scarlett had told everybody in her family that she didn't like comments on how she looked or the way she dressed or even how beautiful she looked.
"Oh come now Scarlett, why don't you like the comments on how beautiful you are?" Said her mother.
"Do you not like the way you turned out or do you just not like the way your parents look?"
"Mom, I'm an omaga... no one likes me the only comments I get from other people are how weak and ugly I am. And that's why I always came home and ran straight to my room, to cry." Scarlett whispered. She never told anyone about that. Every one in the room gasped.
"Honey why didn't you ever say anything?" Said Scarlett's father.
"Its fine now dad the first time I turned into a wolf I ripped 'em a new one. and plus I showed them that I wasn't weak. That got what the deserved, and I made sure of it." Scarlett's dad smiled.
"So that's what I had kids parents on the phone. Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Because I was scared you might get mad." Scarlett whispered again.
"Ok let's just drop this and you guys can talk about this later right now we are going to give Scarlett the best birthday ever!" Sara said/yelled, she had her moms jeans the hipper ones.
Scarlett laughed at her sisters enthusiasm and rolled her eyes. Scarlett had more of her dad in her than her mom but she was still shy. The shyness she got from her grandmother.
"Ok honey go upstairs and put your dress on and come back down."
"Yes dad" Scarlett walked upstairs and into her room. She looked in her closet and there was a beautiful black dress and its was made of silk. It had blue flowers that were laced into it.
She smiled at the dress, closing her door and locked it. She put the dress on. She spun in the beautiful dress. She felt pretty but quickly washed away the feeling

Scarlett whispered the last part to herself but her wolf still heard it. She whimpered and stopped talking. Scarlett wiped the tear that had fallen down her face. She unlocked her door and went downstairs.
