Thinking about his family back on the Kyūbiko, he thought about the animal his family was supposedly related to. He sensed something coming towards him. Opening the eyes he had closed, he dodged to the left catching the Minor that had attacked him with the edge of his battle ax. Everyone in his squad stared at him, as they saw that he had gained six tails and huge sharp teeth and claws. He felt so powerful now. Feeling so strong and suddenly so full of energy, he jumped into the air and landed on one of the big Minors and he ripped off its head and two arms in one pull. Pulling out his switch-axe, he asked for Zaraki's assistance in the battle. "Sure thing, young one. Be ready for anything," the older spirit said. In his demonic form, he held his sword in one hand and used his claws to grab hold to one of the Minors. He jumped from monster to monster, slashing and cutting, tearing and enjoying every minute of it. He was like a monkey jumping from tree to tree, but similar to a tiger killing anything that threatened his life. He looked around and saw something that shocked him.
He was the only one left standing. Or moving at all. Everyone, including Captain Shino and Lieutenant Sentaro, were being taken care of by Captain Udahara and her squad. Seeing something so close to that last battle in the real world, he fell from the sky. All of a sudden, he heard someone. "Come on, darling, if you get stronger, you'll be stronger than something."
Jumping around in the air as he fell, Arek looked around for the voice he hadn't heard in at least ten years. Finally, he found the source he had looked for. There standing in a white coat and a black kimono and hakama, stood the most beautiful woman he ever saw. She was dressed just like any other grim reaper, except for this red drop of fire that hung from her earlobe. He knew that face better than any he would ever see. After all, the eyes he looked into were his own. "Mom..." Arek said in a whisper. "Hey, baby. I am sorry that I wasn't here before now but, the council had me busy. You must continue on. For the honor of the Kitsune clan. I will join you later when you wake, my Arekusandā," Captain Takeshi Kitsune's wife said. Kissing him on the forehead, she turned and changed her features so she became a white fox demon and blew up the rest of the Minors and shot across the sky. This was his mother's goodbye, he realized. The legend of the White Fox had only begun when the "White Fox Mother" had died. Watching his mother run away into the night, Arekusandā continually fell from the sky for the last time. This time when he fell, he would not get up. Arekusandā Kitsune decided it was his time to finally join the rest of the Kitsune clan in the great den in the clouds. All he left behind was Zaraki Nej, whom had transformed into his true form, now that his one, true master lay dead in the forest.
"So, this is how it ends, huh, young fox?" the withering man asked to the sky.
