CHAPTER ONE
I walked into my new flat with Mrs. Hudson following behind me. We were having a normal conversation when we heard yelling from above us and then someone stomping down the stairs.
"No, John. I will not have some ordinary person that wi-" a voice started but stopped the minute he opened my door and the chemistry set sitting on my coffee table in front of my couch and the piano and violin sitting in a far corner facing the fireplace.
"Sherlock? What's wrong? Oh.." A second voice said as he walked into my flat as well.
"Excuse me but who are you?" I asked, my French accent coming through slightly.
"Sherlock Homes." The first man said and kept looking at me.
"John Watson. A friend of Sherlock's. We live above you." The second man said and I smiled at him.
"Afghanistan or Iraq?" I asked and he looked at me slightly confused and surprised while Sherlock tried to hide his shock.
"Sorry?"
"You heard me. Did you serve in Afghanistan or Iraq?" I asked.
"Afghanistan. How did you..." John started but trailed off.
"Yes. How did you know. What else do you know?" Sherlock finally spoke.
"Well I know you're an Army doctor and you've been invalided home from Afghanistan. I know you've got a sister who worries about you but you won't message her or call her because of her drinking problem. Met her earlier. First person I met when I got here." I said, smirking when I saw the look on their faces.
"How'd you know about Afghanistan?" John asked.
"I can read your military career from your face. Your haircut and the way you hold yourself says military. Your face is tanned but no tan above the wrists. You were aboard but didn't sunbathe. You've also got a slight limp, barely noticeable but it's still there. Wounded and suntan so it had to have been Afghanistan or Iraq." I finished and Sherlock narrowed his eyes at me. "You guys obviously haven't known each other long. John still seems a bit awkward around you, Sherlock." I said and John looked at him.
"Do you know anything about her?" John asked and I smirked.
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing." Sherlock replied.
"If you want, I can tell you." Sherlock growled slightly and left but John stayed. "Curious?"
"Quite, yes." He replied and I smiled.
"Please sit." I pointed to one of the other arm chairs in front of the fireplace. Mine was black while the one he was sitting on is red. "My name is Alix. Alix Watson." I said and smirked as he looked at me confused.
"How're you a Watson?" He asked and I glanced at the door to see Sherlock standing there quietly.
"Didn't want to be at home. I had a need for an adventure. Something. It was boring there." I said and chuckled. "Ran away. Mum and dad looked everyday but never found me. I ran away to France. I stayed there for a very long time. I was a detective. One that the police came to when they needed help. Just like the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. After a while I needed to move. Changed my first name because I'm being chased after. I ran to America hoping to lose them. I stayed almost for 10 years but then they found me again so I ran back to Britain. Hoping that I could start a life without being found. Once again changing my name. I use to be known as Roslyn so I changed it to Rose but now I'm known as Alix, or Ali for short." I finished my life story and sighed. "Happy Sherlock? Now that you know everything about me, I might have to move again. He doesn't give up. You should know that. He's come after you too. Moriarty." I said and glared at the fireplace. As Sherlock was about to speak, I cut him off. "Not now. I have work to do tomorrow. Get out." I said and John nodded getting up and dragging Sherlock out of the room quickly. I took out my music book and continued writing. 'It'll be done by tomorrow. I promise Alex.'
