It had been almost three weeks since I'd told Luke we should just be friends, and we hadn't spoken since. He'd called me countless amounts of times and messaged me but I'd ignored them all. I want to just forget about him. I know friends are supposed to talk to each other, not ignore each other.
"Are you going to answer that?" Calum asked as we sat watching FRIENDS in the living room. I looked at my phone seeing it was Luke who was calling. "I can't." I shook my head. "You know, Lukes hurting too." He smiled, but I just ignored him too. Before I could do anything, Calum had took my phone and answered Lukes call.
"Hello? Yeah this is her flat mate Calum, you remember me? Great. Sure, she's a little busy at the minute which is why I answered instead of her." Calum chuckled. "You should probably know though it's also hard for Megan, I mean, she's in love with you, well, she was."
I face palmed myself listening to the conversation. "Yeah I'll pass on your message." He nodded before saying bye and hanging up. "Well, what did he say?" I asked as soon as he out the phone down. "He wants you to stop ignoring his calls. He wants to be friends and only friends. Whatever you said to him made him understand he should stay with Willow." Calum explained.
I took my phone from the sofa and headed into my bedroom, calling Lukes number.
"Megan?" Luke answered. "Hey, sorry I was showering. I'm also sorry I've been ignoring you for three weeks, I just want you to know I'm not in love with you. I thought I was and us being friends would just be awkward but I'm cool with us being friends." I told him.
"So, you're not in love with me?" He asked. "No, I'd love to hang out with you sometime. Like we used to do." I smiled, even though he couldn't see. "I'd love to. Just call me whenever, okay?"
"Okay." I nodded before we hung up."Are you sure you're not in love with him? Because I told him you were."
"I don't love him anymore. He's a thing of the past and I'm ready to move on." I grinned.//Calum//
Hearing Megan say she no longer loved Luke was like music to my ears. Maybe I could finally win her over. I was prepared to rush into things and ruin our friendship, I was willing to take it slow, give it a few weeks, maybe a month before admitting anything to her. I wanted our friendship to last. I'd finally got her back and I was ready to let her go again.-
