Flat mates [completed]

The next day we went shopping to a local stationary store to buy our school supplies. I loved having six weeks off for summer and hated going back to school, but the best part about going back was buying brand new stationary.

"I don't even know why your making me buy all of this, I'm definitely going to lose it all within the first week." Calum moaned as I threw two packets of highlights in the kart. "Quit whining and help me pick which colour of ruler I should buy." I smiled. "Pink, classy and fun or clear, more serious."
"Honestly does it matter what colour you buy? They all do the same job."
"I'm going to go with pink because it matches my pencil case." I said. "You're such a nerd and that's why I love you." Calum laughed.

"And you can have the clear one because you're boring." I stuck my tongue out at home before also placing the rulers in the kart. I picked us up some binders and myself some colourful stickers to decorate mine with. You looked over to see Calum had disappeared. I grabbed the kart and went looked around the aisles for him.

"Calum." I hissed when I finally saw him, making him jump and dropping what ever he had hold of. He picked them up and made his over to me, bumping into someone on the way.

"Oops, sorry mate. Wasn't looking were I was going." He turned red and apologised to the man, making you chuckle. "Where did you disappear to?" I asked when he made his way to me. "Sorry, I got distracted by these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles erasers. Look how cool they are." He showed you them before putting them in the kart.

When we'd finally finished shopping, we payed for our stuff and headed home. As soon as we got through the door, I recorded a phone call from my mom.

"Hey mom." I sighed. "Hey Megan, your dad and I have something important to ask you." She started. "On Friday, we're taking a trip to visit your aunt and we'd love for you to come. I know you want to enjoy summer with your friends and Calum but we haven't seen your aunt in almost a year and I know she'd be over the moon if you came."

"Mom, yeah, I'll come. How long for?" I asked. "Only a week, thank you for coming. It means a lot." She said sweetly. "Yeah, no problem. I'll see you Friday morning." I said before hanging up. "What was that? Where are you going?" Calum asked.

"My parents want me to go and visit my aunt with them for a week. We haven't seen her in so long so I agreed. I'm leaving on Friday, I hope you don't mind." I added, hoping Calum didn't actually mind I was leaving him. "Don't worry about it, you don't have to ask me. Go and have fun with your family, I can invite Ashton over." He smiled. "Okay." I nodded.
