REYNA SAT ON the ground, her knees to her chest and her chin resting in between her kneecaps. She was covered in wet dirt, given the fact she had practically collapsed on the ground the moment she arrived at her destination—it was also raining—but she couldn't bring herself to care much about it at all. There was no amount of dirt or mud that could make her feel any more disgusted with herself than she already did.

A few tears fell from Reyna's eyes as she fixed her gaze on the ground. She watched as the rain drops fell against the Earth; she listened as the raindrops splashed against the leaves of the trees that served as a canopy over her small body. She was so focused on the sound of the rain that she hadn't heard the soft sound of footsteps against the fallen leaves on the ground.

A hooded Sebastian made his way into the opening, his eyes falling on Reyna's very muddy body almost immediately. He frowned, though he let out a sigh of relief and hurried over to her. He had spent the past twenty minutes driving around Congers searching for her, only for realization to strike him after the twenty-one minute mark. She had left her dad's house without a word and that worried Sebastian greatly. Seeing her now worried him greatly.

"Rey," Sebastian spoke, startling Reyna slightly.

She looked up at him, her green eyes softening slightly as they met his blue ones. "Hello," she responded as she wiped her face.

Sebastian couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that she had just wiped mud on her face. He walked over to her, kneeling down in front of her and raising his hand to her face. "What happened, Rey?" he asked as he wiped her face clean. It was hard to see the tears in her eyes due to the rain that had fallen on her face, but Sebastian managed to spot them perfectly fine.

"I'm scared," Reyna forced out through her tears. She hugged herself tighter as she began to shiver, and Sebastian removed his jacket immediately, wrapping it around her before taking a seat on the ground beside her.

"Why? What's going on, Rey?" Sebastian asked her. "Is something wrong with Morgan? Margarita?"

The tears fell faster down Reyna's face and she shook her head.

"Then what is it, sweetie?"

Reyna looked up at him with glistening green eyes, "They let him out."

Sebastian sucked in a breath at her words and ran a hand through his damp hair. "Please tell me that 'him' is not who I think he is. . ."

"I wish I could," Reyna replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sebastian didn't have the time to respond before Reyna began crying. He grabbed her immediately, pulling her trembling body to his in an attempt to comfort her and also bring her warmth.

"Hey," Sebastian spoke softly to her. "It's okay, sweetheart."

Reyna's cries only seemed to grow stronger. "I h-have spent so many y-years without him. At one point in time I t-thought I was finally okay again—I thought that I w-was perfectly fine. Because of you and Theo and Mariana and everyone e-else I believed I was, but I'm not, and all it took was one text message to remind m-me of it. I spent so long pretending to be strong when I wasn't."

"You are the strongest person I know, Reyna," Sebastian said to her.

"If I was, would I be sitting here in the rain and the mud crying?" Reyna sniffed.

Sebastian hugged her tighter. "Yes. Even the strongest people have their breaking points."

"I don't want him out," Reyna stated as a wave of fear struck her.

"I know," Sebastian sighed, "Neither do I, love."

"W-what if he's angry because I put him in prison? What if h-he wants r-revenge or something? What if w-what he did to me was child's play compared to what he w-wants to do to me now?" Reyna babbled nervously before she let out a small cry. "Oh, god, Sebastian, what if he—no—Mariana. . ."

Sebastian swallowed the growing lump in his throat and squeezed her tighter, his hold become more protective than anything else. "I will not let him hurt you, okay? I won't let him hurt my family."

Reyna shot up as a thought crossed her mind, and she seemed to look around the forest as if she was looking for him. Her fearful green eyes scanned the landscape, though she was met with nothing but trees, fog, and rain.

"Rey, calm down please," Sebastian tried to comfort her.

"Oh my gosh, I forgot," Reyna forced out through a ragged breath as she continued scanning the trees. "He's from here, Sebastian—he's from Congers. What if he's here now? What if he's here at home? God, I'm gonna throw up."

Sebastian could hardly stand seeing her in such a state of fear and paranoia; it made him hate the bastard who had hurt her even more than he already did.

"It's okay," Sebastian spoke as he grabbed her again. "We'll go back up to Ontario, okay? I will do whatever I can do for you to make you feel safe—I will do whatever I can do to keep you safe, Reyna."

Reyna squeezed her eyes shut and hugged him tightly. "Just stay with me, okay? Don't ever leave me."

Sebastian sighed and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "I would never dream of it."
