3 weeks later

These past few weeks have been truly amazing! I have not felt so happy in a really long time. And it's all thanks to Asher, but also Lucas and Haley. We've all grown pretty close thanks to me-just saying- and hang out a lot. Which we are all hanging out tonight.

As of right now I'm job hunting on a beautiful Saturday morning with Haley. We decided to just get a job at the same place and try and get the same schedule. In the short few weeks, Haley and I have grown really close. She almost  knows everything about me. Almost.

"How about this cafe?" Haley's excited voice breaks me out of my thoughts. I look over to where her attention is now set and admire the little cafe. It's quaint. It is called the 'The Hideout'. The front of the building is made with tan bricks and there is a glass window looking into the cafe with goodies sitting on shelves in front of it. There is a dark green door leading into the inside and three tables outside. All in all, I'm in love.

"This place is perfection" I beam to her.

"Than what are we waiting for? Come on" she walks inside and I follow behind her. Before I enter I grab the 'Help Wanted' sign and toss it in the bin. They won't be needing that.

"Hello Miss, how may I help you?" a barista asked.

"Hi we are here about the help wanted sign" I replied.

"Oh about time someone applies. We've had that up for ever" she laughed, "My dad, the owner, will be down shortly, but I can do the interview now since no one is here" she smiles warmly at us.

"That would be great! Thank you" We beam to Lisa, at least that's what her name tag says.

We follow her to a little corner table and sit across from. She seems to be thinking what to say before she speaks up, "How old are you two?"

"Well I'm 17" Haley responded

"And I'm 17 also. I'll be 18 in June" I explain.

"Great. Have either of you ever worked in a cafe or coffee shop?"

"I have" I smile proudly.

"No ma'am" Haley admits.

"That's fine. Oh how rude of me, what are your names?"

"I'm Haley and this here is Alex" she answers for the both of us.

"Mighty fine names. And one more question" she looks between us, "When can you start?" That was really quick.

"That's it?" Haley asks what I was thinking.

"I can tell you two will do great and you both seem nice, so why not give you a try?"

"Thank you. Thank you so much" we beam. "And we can start tomorrow"

"Great. I'll go tell my dad. Be here by eight am and we can start your training" she gets up and scoots in her chair and we follow along. "Have a nice day you two"

"You too and thanks again" I smiled. Haley and I walked out of the restaurant with no worries what so ever. I can't believe it was that easy!

"Hey you two. How was the hunting?" Asher smiles at us as we sit at the table.

"It was great!" I beamed. "We got a job!" I almost shouted.

"That's great babe" he pulls me into an embrace"

"Thank you" I proudly show a smile. Haley does the exact same thing.
