Partners?

The day seemed to fly by after my encounter with the devil that morning. I loved all my classes so far and lunch with my friends was amazing. I was on my way to my final class, photography. I walked in early and saw that Livi and Cora had already claimed us a table. Today was day one where we figure out who we have to pair up with for our project. I heard banging as a group off people ran through the door. Jocks by the smell off it. I looked up just in time to see of course Eli and the rest off the basketball team. Stereo typical I know. But coach has a soft spot for them since Eli's his son. Mark Pirce was Eli's best friend and Cora's boyfriend. She didn't support Eli, but they still made it work. Jack, Ron, and Raylen are also in that group. Mark walked up and kissed Cora causing Livi and I to make gagging noises and pretending to hurl. Cora just slapped us on our arms and went back to talking with Mark. Jack walked to Livi and waved shyly. From what I've learned he's had a crush on her since second grade. Livi, of course, is oblivious. Eli winked at me before taking his seat as Mrs. Asle walked in. "Good morning and happy first day of school. As you all know, we have film projects every year and each group gets a different topic. Here are the names," she said as she handed out this list. I immediately looked for Livi and Cora's names.

Cute. I think as I continue to look for my name. I freeze in place when I find it.

O. Mi. Gosh. "Hope you are all happy it IS final so do not ask. You and your partner will need to get together and work on it. Presentations Friday." Mrs. Asle stated as the bell rung. I turned to look where Eli was sitting to see him inches away and smirking. "Can't wait. How about I pick you up at 7 and we go around to take pictures of our "memories"?" Eli asked. "Sure," I said staring him straight in the eyes.

I was driving home with Hadley and she would not shut up about her first day. "I made so many friends.....and then she asked me what I thought...... Then at recess....... And the milk went everywhere." Okay so maybe I wasn't listening enough to catch it all but I at least got that much. "you're day? ter..Car....Cart...CARTER!!!" She screamed so loudly I almost swerved. "What!" I screamed. "I was just asking about your day. " she said innocently. "It was good Had. By the way I'm going out to work on a photography project with a friend later. Is there any way I can get you to bed on time tonight?" I asked. "Maybe if you got me ice cream it would help me be in bed on time. " she answered sweetly. "I guess if it would help." I said, them turned into the highway.
