Time To Wake Up and Investigate (Chapter One)

"C'mon, Alvin, you're taking all day!" I exclaim, agitated. I was woken up very early, by none other than Alvin Svent himself. "I thought you were already, well, ready to go..."

I could have been continuing my dream right now! Jude was looking deeply into my eyes, under the trees of Leronde... It was as if I were lost into those intelligent, warm brown eyes... Which had left me breathless...

"Um, Leia? Earth to Leia." Oh, it's Alvin. Again.

"Mm, yeah?" He had caught me off guard.

"Daydreaming about Jude again?" Alvin asks, amused.

"N-not at all, little buddy." Why'd I have to stutter? And how did he know? Is my feelings for Jude... that obvious?

"That sure sounded convincing..." Alvin smirked.

"No way! I was thinking about why you woke me up so early." Damn you, Alvin. "I thought you were already, well, ready."

"I was, until the tea that I was carrying was knocked onto my shirt and left my shirt and pants stained, by a certain sleeping beauty, in her sleep." Alvin says, raising his eyebrows.

"Sorry, I must have been stretching, or something." I didn't know I did that...

"It's alright, you didn't know what you were doing. C'mon, we gotta go see what those rumors were about, which you have seemed to forgotten about already." Alvin's re-assured smile ended with a smirk.

"Oh, shoot! I'm going to grab my staff right quick!" I can't that it slipped my mind!

"Don't forget your pen and paper!" Alvin called out to me, jokingly.

"As if! But I wanna get in the action, and not let you have all the fun- the writing can come later!" I am really excited and if the rumors are true... this story will be huge!

"Let's get going... Ladies first," Alvin said, holding the door open for me. I can't wait for another adventure like this!

Alvin's POV

Ah, well today is the day that Ludger had sacrificed himself for Elle, five years ago; that same day Milla had to go back to the Spirit realm. I made breakfast for Leia and I, so she could start off today with somewhat of a good morning, and not be so distraught by the memories... She is staying with me for the next three days, she wanted to do an article on the rumors of an Elite monster, that supposedly lurks on the rocky path of Alest Highroad. With what the rumors say, it sounds like another Scorpactus, but a much larger one. Only I could help Leia; Jude is booked with his research, Rowen is settling down with Marcia, Gaius, er, Erston? Well Gaius is running Rieze Maxia and also settling down with Muzet, and Elize and Elle are both staying at Driselle's place- they haven't seen her in a year or two.

After I made breakfast, I went to the room Leia was staying in and knocked softly. When there was no reply, I opened the door slowly, and there was no surprise- Leia was lying there in bed, asleep. I had my tea in my hand as I went closer to her to wake her up. Before waking her up, I looked at her face. She seemed at peace, happy even. She looks so... beautiful. Suddenly, she turned around, with her arms reaching outwards towards me. In the middle of this commotion, she accidentally had hit my hand and my tea went all over me. Then, a moment later, I heard her murmur...

"Jude..."
