Hi! (:

Okay let me get this out of the way. Then we'll get onto the fun stuff! This story may have swearing in it, some other stuff maybe. I'm not sure. I'm taking it chapter by chapter. So if you do not like any of that stuff then I suggest you leave. Second, this is my story and I will put whatever I want in it. Some of the stuff in here may not really happen and the characters may not be real but it's just a story, remember. I may ask for your opinions every once in a while. But please keep the negative comments to yourself.

I don't expect this story to go far but I'd love it if you'd give me a chance. My writing may not be the best in the world but none of us are perfect. So please at least give it a chance.

I'll update as much as I can.

That's it. Enjoy! (:

Noel's P.O.V.

"Wake up, Noel." Lucy said while shoving me gently.

"Ugh." I groaned while stuffing my face deeper into my pillow. It's way too early for this.

"C'mon it's a new day! Maybe you'll get adopted today. You never know." I heard Lucy say while pulling the covers off of me. It's so cold, oh my god. I pulled the covers back up because I feel like an iceberg right now.

Yeah, I doubt it. How many years have I been here? Oh yeah, almost 13 years! Not counting the time I was adopted that one time...

You see, when I was first born my parents put me up for adoption for whatever reason. I never knew why though, and I still don't know. I kinda just stopped wondering after a while.

Although strangely, they left me a guitar. I've played the guitar since I was five and then around when I was 8, I caught onto singing. I guess music is just a part of me.

I was adopted by who I thought was just the perfect couple about a year ago. At first they were nice. Then as the weeks went on they became really mean. They would call me an ugly, worthless little brat and would shove me around. The bad thing is though, is that it's probably true. Then one day when they finally had enough of me, they brought me back.

I was heartbroken. I wouldn't eat for days. Their words stuck in my head like a record playing over and over.

"You ugly whore!"

"Who would want to adopt you?! I mean look at you! You're hideous!

"You worthless little bitch!"

Lucy finally got me to eat after 2 or 3 days. She's the only one I trust around here. Her mom owns the adoption center, but she usually helps her out a lot. I know I can always go to her for anything. I've always wanted a big sister and I think of Lucy like one. She comforts me on my sad days, and gives me any advice that I may need.

"Yeah I doubt it." I muttered.

"Oh c'mon you got to think positive, Noel." She sighed while sitting on the bed.

"That gets me nowhere. I try to, I really do, but the longer I think about, the more I realize how long I've been here and that I'll probably never be adopted." I sighed.

"I know, Noel. It's rough. But don't give up, okay? There's still hope." She said while trying to pull the covers off of me.

"No, I wanna sleep!" I whined while trying to keep the covers on.

"Don't make me get the water bucket!" She said in a sing-song voice.

"I'm up!" I yelled while sitting up quickly.
