We are in an open area, where the event will happen. There's a stage set up, overlooking every people of the pack. It's only quarter to eleven of the night but the feast has already begun. The Alphas are standing behind the Great Alpha and he's looking at every face he sees on the crowd with an expectant look. For a moment, I see how great he is, how awesome Cloud is. From the looks of the people he has, Cloud has been a good Alpha and he seems the type of Alpha who would risk his life to protect the pack he has. His posture as he stands, back straight, hands clasped behind him, eyes are hard but caring. He really is a good Alpha. He deserves the title of it. The people are looking up at him with admiration and love and I wonder what the Alpha did for them to love him like this?
The night's breeze is perfect. Not really cold and not really warm. Just average. The owls are perched on the branches of the trees, even the owls are interested on hearing what Cloud has to say to everyone. The stars are shining brightly across the sky, each star gives light to everyone and I describe this night as perfect. The moon has been hiding in the clouds, but soon, the cloud will go away and let the moon have its glory.
"We're here, standing as one, to celebrate our little victory," Cloud says as the crowd cheers, clapping at the same time and making a loud noise and Cloud chuckles, lifting his arms up to stop everyone and so he can continue. Not only the werewolves are here, but also the Queens of the other worlds as well as their people. Cloud and the other Alphas have put a lot of security around the area. "We have a lot to celebrate tonight, and I wish each one of you have fun tonight and let go of your fears for once, just for tonight. Tonight, we will celebrate how we're living today. That's to let the enemies know that they are messing with the wrong pack. I, and the other Alphas behind me, will do everything it takes to protect this pack and not just this pack, the others as well. Behind you are the people of the other world. The Queens are here to celebrate with us. Shamans, Enchanters, Magus, Wizards, Pixies. As you all know, we have been fighting with the Vampires for a very long time. But now, we need to stand as one. Later on, I know this is very hard for us but it's time for us to accept that we need them as much as they need us, I will talk to the King of the Vampire to make amends. The last thing we want to happen is for us to be divided. The enemies are going strong, that's very alarming but that doesn't mean that we should be scared. As long as we're united, nothing can beat us. Each world is facing difficulties. We'll help them and they'll help us and I strongly wish for your cooperation. Each one of you. We'll make our world better and we'll help them build a better world.
"Also, for the little victory that we have achieved, though it has been hard, Furion is already here with us. With the help of the Queen of the Shamans, we're able to save Furion from the darkness. Thank you for your help, Queen of the Shamans. I will be forever grateful for what you have done. Though that's not the only reason why I called everyone to have fun and celebrate. You all know the story of how I was a jerk back then and rejected my mate, who is currently standing at the side." Cloud offers his hand at me and the people, who are looking at Cloud, direct their eyes on me and I suddenly feel self-conscious. I have never had much people looking at me, or in my direction. It makes me feel like there's something wrong, which there is not really. But as soon as my palm has been engulfed with Cloud's big hand, the thought has faded and I walk with a smile on the stage. Cloud gives me a smile and it is enough for me to think that everything is going to be fine and well, that everything is going to be smooth. It amazes me how Cloud really changed me. "This, my people, is my mate, the one I really love, the one that the Good Goddess has assigned for me to cherish and adore and love forever. This person, standing in front of you, is my mate who I broke a year ago. This person, standing in front of you, is the love of my life. This person, standing in front of you, is going to be your Luna. I hope that... I hope that everyone accepts him as your Luna. If you have a comment about it, if it bothers you, both you and I can talk and discuss this in private. But just want to let you know that without him, my life would be over. So, Kieran Lars Lockwood, are you willing to take the position of being my Luna? To be with me through the good and bad times? To be with me even in my worst situations? To be with me even when I'm in my weakest point? To be with me to rule this pack and help peace and all?"
At first, I just look at him, the two Luna and the other Alphas behind Cloud, and to the people who are staring at me, waiting for my response. This is the moment that I should say something, but overwhelming feeling greets me and I don't know what to say. I have prepared some speech but clearly it went away as soon I took a step here on the stage, with everybody looking at me, I cannot focus at all.
But then I muster up a courage and look at every person who is staring at me, that has an expectant look. "To be honest, I prepared a speech for this but then I forgot what to say when I went up the stage. But I guess, this is the time that I should discard of that speech. I really don't know what to say, or what you guys are expecting me to say. But I do know one thing, whether I become a Luna or not, a mate of the Alpha or not, I'll be here with you guys throughout everything. We share the same pack, and we are a family. Family helps each other. As for my mate, of course, it's up to the people of this pack if they would like me to be their Luna or not, but I want to let you know that with or without that title, my love for you will not really go away. My love for you, it's like the moon and sun, you know, they are bound to rise and give light to everyone. Being loved by you, it's enough for me to make me happy. It is enough to make me satisfy. It is enough to make me stand by your side even in your worst situations, or even when you are in your weakest point, or whatever. As long as I love you and you love me, we're pretty much stuck with each other. Whether you like or you love it." I end my speech breathless, looking at my mate with full of love and adoration and the people clap, cheering and telling the Great Alpha and I to kiss. So I guess that's my clue that everyone accepts me as their Luna.
Without further ado, just like in marriage, Cloud leans down and captures my lips with his and I feel more than electrified and alive. I feel the air becomes warm when Cloud's hand rests on the small of my back and the other one snakes its way at the back of my head and he pushes me more into him, deepening the kiss and I moan out loud into his lips. I feel him smile against our connected lips and we both pull away. Even though the kiss didn't last long, it leaves us both breathless and wanting more. I blush when he has an intense gaze set on me and the area becomes really hot even though we're in an open area.
Just by looking into his eyes, I see how much he loves me, how much I mean the world to him and I hope he can see the same thing when he looks into my eyes. I love him more than my life and I'll do everything to make him happy. Slowly, Cloud wraps his arms around me and I wrap my arms around him, burying my nose into the crook of his neck. The cheering people have faded when Cloud keeps murmuring that he loves me. I love him back.
I'm sure the Good Goddess is seeing us with a smile on her face, probably bragging about how she's so right that she paired me with the Great Alpha.
