An Unforgettable Summer

Why did it have to be so hot in Massachusetts during summer. If my Aunt isn't here in the next ten minutes I think I might faint, I was sweating in places I literally didn't even know sweated. I was now seriously regretting my choice of wearing black jeans, at least I was only wearing a simple band t-shirt.

I was stuck coming here for the summer since my parents thought I was turning into some troublesome girl just because

I got some ear piercings and a tattoo without asking them but to be honest I don't really care what they think. Besides I actually do go out to parties now and again and drink a bit but I just don't tell my mum that, I'd rather she think I was some nerd which I guess I kinda am I'm fine with that and my small group of friends.

The heat was starting to get unbearable but then relief washed over me as I spotted a mop of sleek brown hair, thank goodness. I could recognise that hair anywhere. It was almost identical to mine but she tended to always wear hers in a a ponytail whilst I always wore it down or in a messy bun.

'Maddie you're here' screamed Liz

Could she get any more embarrassing?

'Hey Aunt Liz' I said walking up to her so she wouldn't have to scream again.

'You've grown up so much, come along quick we can talk in the car, it's far too hot out here' she said guiding me towards her car.

Aunt Liz is rich and I don't mean just a nice house and car rich I mean like J K Rowling rich, she is loaded but she doesn't like to show it, I haven't been to her house in a few years but I remember that on the inside it was absolutely mind-blowing

Her Car was pretty damn fancy though, with it's sleek leather seats and many gadgets.

'Come on hop in, what are you waiting for' she said dumping my bags in the backseat.

'Um Thanks Liz for like having me you know'. I said awkwardly

'Oh Hun, don't worry I don't think your some delinquent, I mean look at my ears, I got all my peircings and tattoos without telling your grandma and well I was pretty much in the same situation as you but I had to be grounded for 6 months, so you got off easy.' She said with a smile.

'Thanks a lot' I said again beaming back at her.

The Traffic was, well it was almost non-existent, summer started about 5 days ago so if anyone visited the small town of Wareham, Massachuusetts they would have come a few days ago. As we entered the town i saw kids on bikes, people jumping off wharfs, there were multiple shops and cafes lining the beach road , i even spotted a rather large waterpark.

Maybe this summer wouldn't be so bad afterall.

I trudged up the stairs with my bags following Liz. Her house was literally huge and beyond fancy but it was still cosy.

I opened the door to my room and i just couldn't let out any words, it was amazing. There was a large queen bed In the centre with a purple and blue bed spread, Surrounding it was light light blue walls against a white carpet. Around the room there was a white bedside table, a large mirrored dresser, a tall bookcase, tv cabinet and a large desk she even put in the effort to put posters of some of my favourite bands and celebs up, it was literally my dream bedroom.

'Thank you, Thank you THANK YOU!' I said hugging Liz

'No problem' she said smiling back at me.

Now I'll let you settle in, I'll call you when dinners ready'.

I started to put up some photos of my me and my friends when i realised i hadn't been to the bathroom since before the flight from Boston.

I walked down the hall to where I thought the bathroom was, I opened the door and I screamed there was a dude my age standing there peeing.

'LIZ CALL THE COPS' I screamed running into my room.

I grabbed the book I was reading which just so happened to be one of the biggest books i've ever read and I ran into the bathroom, thankfully his shorts were up and he was now facing me, he was extremely hot, almost to hot in my opinion.

His hair was a deep brown and was a mess but it looked seriously hot, he was wearing dark green shorts and a tight back top. He was definately a bad-boy but what the hell was he doing in our house?

'GET OUT NOW' I said whilst hitting him in the head with my book.

'What the hell are you doing?' he yelled at me covering his head protectively.

'Shouldn't I be asking you the same, this isn't your flipping house' I said hitting him again.

Liz came running up the stairs towards us, she looked much to calm.

'LIZ, Who is this dude,do you know him, whats going on here?' I screamed.

'Maddie calm down, this is Luke'

'Okay great I get to know this intruders name, I mean who is he, as in what the hell is he doing here' I said angrlily.

'Oh Maddie I forgot to mention him, Luke is staying at mine this summer as well, he lives a few houses down but he ummm got in trouble and his parents grounded him so they asked if he could stay with me while his parents are in Italy.

'So you just forgot to mention that' I said growling.

Throughout the whole conversation he stayed silent.

'Luke, Maddie, I just need to get some shopping for dinner I'll be back soon and while i'm gone you too can bond, Bye.' She said scuttling down the stairs.

I turned to Luke and found he was already looking at me, his eyes were a deep dark blue like the night sky, they twinkled with a slight flicker of green in them.

He ran his hand through his hair and twitched his lip up into an almost smile 'Hey I'm luke'

'I know' I said shoving past him downstairs to get some food.

I opened the cool fridge to get a drink, I poured myself a large glass of coke and opened some chips. I turned to get into the lounge but Luke was standing by the door.

'No need to be so cold maddie' he said.

'I'm just pissed off oh and no need to be so stuck-up' I said returning the cold fake smile.

He reached for my coke and took a big gulp, I just left it there and walked out of the kitchen.

'Meathead' I muttered.

'I heard that' he called out once I was out of the room.

This was going to be a long and interesting summer.
