You woke up the around the same time you usually do to eavesdrop on Sans and Toriel. You still felt Sans's arms around you. You turned around to face the skeleton. He was still asleep, slightly snoring. To be honest, you thought he was kind of cute.

He groaned as he slowly woke up. You quickly closed your eyes, pretending to be asleep. After a moment, you heard Sans chuckle. He placed his hand on you face and started to slowly rub your cheek.

"I know your awake (y/n)." Sans whispered, patting your face. You hid your face.

"Nope!" you whispered back. Sans chuckled again and pulled you closer. You could feel your face heat up with a blush.

"I still can't believe it. We are actually free. In a few timelines, Frisk did free us, but now she can't. But, now I get to spend my freedom with you." Sans said.

"Yeah. Well I'm gonna get up and make some food." You said. You tried to get up but Sans pulled you back down.

"Sans, let me get up!" you said.

"Nah." Sans protested. You sighed and used all of your strength to get up. You succeeded and Sans was laying there weirdly. He wimpered.

"You're not a dog Sans. Either stay in bed and sleep, or come help me make pancakes!" you explained. Sans sighed and got up. You both walked downstairs and into the kitchen.

Sans started gathering ingredients while you grabbed the utensils.

You and Sans then started putting the ingredients together. Once it was all mixed, Sans pored it into the pan. Soon, you were finished making the pancakes. You and Sans sat at the table and started eating.

Once you were finished eating, you and Sans started talking.before you knew it, everyone else started waking up. You decided to be nice and make everyone some pancakes.

Soon, everyone was finished eating and walked to the castle to find the goat family ready to leave the Underground. Papyrus suggested that you all stay and wait for Alphys and Undyne. They arrived 30 minutes later.

Finally, everyone was together, and it was time to face the humans. Your feelings told you that there was certainly going to be issues between humans and monsters, but everything will be fine.

You all walked out to the surface. You walked to the town at the bottom of the mountain. Other humans did scream, and point guns at the monsters, but in the crowd, the orphanag's caretakers recognized you and Melody. Soon, everyone listened to you and your friend and agreed to be at peace with the monsters.

Toriel and Asgore adopted you and Melody. You two were officially sister's now. Tori and Asgore did get a large house. It had four bedrooms. Sans, Papyrus, and Gaster got the house right next door, while Alphy s and Undyne lived on the other side of town.

It has been a week on the surface. Tori seemed to fall back in love with Asgore, which you were really happy about. Melody and Papyrus were still going strong. Sans was still being really loving towards you. Frisk would everyonce in a while take control of Asriel's body to chat with you a bit, but she usually stayed hidden.

Today was the day you decided to help Gaster. You figured that you two could get along since your mother was his test subject. You got out of bed early and got into clothes that you didn't mind ruining. You quickly headed next door and knocked. Papyrus answered the door.

"AH! GOOD MORNING (Y/N)! WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE THIS FINE MORNING?" Papyrus asked.

"I want to spend some time with Gaster. He knew my mother so I thought that we might get along!" you explained. Papyrus nodded and let you in.

"FATHER IS IN THE BASEMENT!" Papyrus said. You thanked him and walked downstairs. The basement was set up like a lab. Gaster was at one of the tables examining something.

"Hello Gaster!" you said quietly, not to startle him. He looked up from the table and over to you.

"Good morning (y/n). Is there something you need?" Gaster asked.

"No, I just wanted to get to know the man who used to experiment on my mother! Besides, you are practicly my father-in-law!" you explained. You walked up to him.

"So you and Sans are finally together?" Gaster asked with a smile on his face.

"Once again, no. My sister is dating Papyrus remember?" you protested. Gaster's smile faded.

"You two really should. I'm sure it would make Sans extremely happy!" Gaster explained. You sighed.

"I know, I know! I just don't know of I like him back. I mean, yeah he is cute and nice and sometimes makes me blush...but that doesn't mean I like him." you said. You looked up at Gaster, who had a big smirk on his face. You raised an eyebrow.

"You don't pay much attention to your own facial expressions. Don't think I haven't noticed. The way you look at my son, and just now, the look you made when you just thought of him. You are in love!" Gaster said. Your face quickly heated up to look as red as a tomato. Gaster just laughed.

"Anyway, if you wish to help me, could you go over there and grab me that blueprint?" Gaster asked. You nodded and grabbed the blueprint that he needed.

The rest of the day, you helped Gaster with random experiments. Every once in a while, Sans came down and helped, but then went back upstairs.

At the end of the day you were about to head home until Gaster stopped you.

"(Y/n), thank you for your help. But I have one more request. Just think about it. I know that you like my son. You may think that you don't, but just consider the possibility that you do. Imagine you two together, if it makes you happy, then make it become a reality." Gaster pleaded. You sighed and nodded.

"Good night (y/n)." Gaster said.

"Good night Gaster!" you replied. You walked out of the house and got back home. You got dressed and laid down on your bed.

You decided to do what Gaster suggested and thought about you and Sans being together. You fell asleep a few minutes later with a smile on your face.
