After the soundcheck, the Cheap Trick guys take Sheri and I out to eat. "Ori, I know you think I forgot your birthday." Tom, the bassist who also just so happens to be my uncle, jokes as we drive to a restaurant. "Yeah." I say, looking over at him. "Look out your window." he smiles back at me. I look out my window and see the lit up sign for Jersey Mike's Subs, which is one of my favorite restaurants. "I know you like this one." he grins as we get out. "Sheri, every time Cheap Trick plays the PNC Bank Arts Center, we eat here after the soundcheck." I tell my best friend as we head inside. When the people behind the counter see us, they start making our subs. Once our subs are made and we've sat down, Rick, the lead guitarist, hands me a box. "Here Ori. Happy birthday." I open it and see a pack of guitar picks. And they have my name on them. "Seriously?" I look up at Rick and smile.
After we've eaten, we head back to the PNC. "Alright you two. Go find your seats." Robin jokes. Sheri and I go sit down and soon, the show starts. When they get to 'The Flame', Robin goes up to his microphone. "Alright, this next song is for a special young lady who's made a difference in our lives, especially Tom's. Ori, this one's for you." I look up right as he starts to play the song and smile.
