I feel my heart stop and I look down at William and I put a hand on my face. Feeling tears in my eyes and I smile.

"Yes!" I say smiling and I put my hand out for him and he smiles. Slipping the ring on my hand.

William gets up and hugs me. I hear the crowd cheer. We pull apart and William's father gives William a glare and then walks away. William's sibling come up and they hug me. Tessa comes to me smiling and we hug.

A butler comes in and says that dinner is served. Everyone filters to the big dinning call that was across the hall from the ballroom. I walk in with William and I sit down next to him. I couldn't get the smile off of my face. I feel William kiss my cheek.

The maids set the plates down. I look across the table and I see Anne and her Mother glaring at me. I look down and begin to eat my dinner. I make some small talk and I excuse myself from the table.

I go to the bathroom to freshen up and I look at myself in the mirror and then look at my ring. I hear someone else come in and I see Anne glaring at me.

"What gives you the right to take William away from me," Anne says with her hands on her waist.

"I never took him away from you, he just never really liked you," I say looking at her.

"How dare you say that," she says her face turning red. "Because it's true," I say getting angry myself.

"You're still just a maid in everyone's eyes, no one cares that you became Mrs. Brown's granddaughter. Everyone knows you for the little fake noble," Anne says and then leaves the bathroom.

I sigh and I think about what she says. 'What if everyone see's me as the fake noble.' I feel tears starting to form but I push it down. I go back out there and I sit back down. Trying to enjoy the rest of the evening.

The rest of the evening went fine. William had invited for me to stay with him the weekend. They set me up a room and I went to the room that one of the maids had given me.
