"mom I told you I couldn't find them!" I said scrambling around trying to find my shoes. Joys of Monday morning I guess. I had two weeks of school left then I'm gonna be sixteen which I'm excited about. "Have you checked your backpack?" Ofcourse why didn't I think about that I never walk home in my heels I put my converses on and skate back, I reach in my bag finding them quickly and sighing in relief thank God. I slip my creepers on and slide down the banister on the stairs. "can you take me to school today I don't think Emily can today?" I ask my mom peeping over the counter to see her cleaning egg up trying not to get it on her work suit. "You're dad can, I have a meeting in ten minutes though and if I'm late again I'm screwed sorry honey." She tells me throwing away the towel running out the door quickly. I sigh. Shes always busy. "DADDDYYY" I yell. He comes running down the stairs straightening his tie. "Yes Lilly?" He ask hurriedly. "Cab you pretty please take me to school today please??" I beg because I really don't want to walk in the cold rain. He looks unsure so I add that it's pouring outside. "Alright skatey get in the car, but hurry up now." He says already out the door. I smile. I love that nickname, I've had it since I was little and got it from my grandma and it just stuck. "I rushed out of the door locking it and looking up at the black sky and rain pouring with lightning cracking across the sky and thunder rumbling close behind. It's so beautiful "LILLIAN GRACE HURRY UP!!" my dad starts honking the horn. I hold the back pack over my head and jump in the car slamming the door. "Why is the ac on?? You're crazy I swear!" I say shivering from the rain atleast my hair still looked good nice and fluffy as usual. "Not all of us are tiny and cold blooded skate." My dad said chuckling. Well I mean I guess that's true I think to myself. Dad whips outta the drive way and speeds down the highway "daddy slow down there's a police up ahead, that car was flashing its headlights." I warn him. My dad slowed down but not until we heard a siren behind us. "damn it, I don't need to be late again!" My dad angrily says as he pulls over. I just lean my head back why me. We look over when ee hear a tap on the window and dad rolls down his window a little bit. Surprisingly there is a really cute guy on the other side with dark hair and some blonde in it. I look down blushing when he catches me looking at him. Good job Lilly ya just had to embarrass yourself. "What seems to be the problem officer?'' my dad asks tiredly. I look at the police officer with puppy eyes intently poking my lip out just a little bit. "Well um..well ya know what i think my radar just messed up it said you were going 120 mph but apparently your car only goes to 115 mph. I'm sorry for bothering y'all have a nice day you two." He says smiling at me walking away. Oh my god did that really just happen?
