The Chase

Stiles POV

She runs for the living room jumping over the couch so there is space between us. When I go to the left she goes right, when i go right she goes left. I finally give up and start to chase her around the room. Just as I'm about to catch her she jumps over the couch and runs for the kitchen. When I get to the kitchen I see Scott standing there holding her arms like she ran into him. I rush up behind her before she sees me and grabs her.
"Thanks Scott" I say as i grab her around her waist and carr her to my room. She giggles the whole way till I drop her on my bed. God that is the most adorable sound I have ever heard.
"Deals a deal sweetheart. I caught you, now you sleep in here." I said out of breath from chasing her.
"Fine" She says crossing her arms pouting. Laughing at her I walk to the top of the bed and pull the blankets back and she gets under them snuggling into my pillows sighing in content.
"Night Luna," I say brushing a strand of hair back from her face.
"Night Stiles" She says as she falls asleep

I quietly sneak out of my room and into the kitchen and I see scott sitting at the table waiting for me.
"Dude what was that about? Why were you chasing her like a dog chases a squirrel?" He asks
"She wouldn't sleep in my room so she made me a deal. She would sleep in my room on one condition. I had to Catch her first and if you wouldn't have caught her I never would have she's so fast jesus." I say sitting down across from him
"She just came running in and ran right into me. I didn't really do anything." Scott said
" Still, god I haven't run like that since high school." I say letting out a breath
"Dude, we just graduated last year." Scott said laughing
"Really? It feels like forever ago."
"I know right? So stupid question for ya. Where are you gonna sleep now?" Scott asked with a smirk on his face.
"The couch, I like sleeping on the couch honestly."
"Whatever dude. I'm going to bed sleep well." Scott said as he walked into his room

I walk into the living room and lay on the couch passing out for the night.... Or so I thought. at 4am I wake up to screams coming from my room. I jump off the couch and run ito my room seeing Luna thrashing in bed and screaming. I rush over to her waking her up and she just gasps for air. She looks at me and just cries leaning into my embrace.
"Is everything okay?" asks a very tired Scott
"I got this, go back to bed." I say quickly
as Scott leaves the room i pull Luna away gently and wipe her tears away.
"What happened?" I ask as if she were a small child
" That guy... Jackson and his buddies were there and they were choking me.... And they were kicking me... I thought they were gonna kill me..." She says crying again
"Hey, shhhhhh its okay. I got you." I say soothing her
"Thanks Stiles..."
"It's nothing. how about you try and get more sleep." I say putting her back in bed.
"Night Luna." Just as I am about to walk away I feel a hand on my wrist.
"Please stay... at least until I fall asleep.." She asks
"Sure I'll stay till you fall asleep." I say as I climb in bed with her.
She lays her head on my chest and I wrap my arm around her. I listen to her breathing waiting for her t fall asleep and before I know it I have fallen asleep with her in my arms.

THE NEXT MORNING

I wake up in my room like every other morning and I feel this weight on my chest. When I look down I see a mess of red hair and I hear the soft breathing of the girl laying on my chest. I reach down and softly pet her hair, moving it out of her face and watching her sleep. I lightly nudge her slightly and she rolls off my chest so I walk to my bathroom looking in the mirror. I brush my teeth and sneak out of my room into the kitchen where I see Scott trying to turn the coffee maker on. Key work trying, I laugh as I stand next to him and start it right up grinning at him.
"Shut up" he says yawning
"You okay? You seem tired?" I ask
"Yeah I'm fine, I just could sleep last night my side was hurting."
I drop the mug in my hands As it shatters on the ground
"What???"
