Charles Williams

The house was silent as all present looked down to see who they had run over. What they saw was a older version of Phillip. "Um..Who are you?" Beth asked.

"Nora" the man exclaimed looking at her in shock

Shaking her head Beth said "No i'm Elizabeth or Beth"

"Oh well I am Charles Williams,Christopher's uncle" said the man "Do you mind getting of me please?"

"Oh Phillips dad" with that all three stood up and apologised.

"Master Williams what brings you here?" Miranda asks

"I came to see my nephew to see if he was alright and then i suddenly get run over as soon as i step inside" Charles explained with  a smile looking at Theo and the girls. "That reminds me what were you exactly running from and why are you so dirty?" Miranda looked at them as if just remembering what happened seconds before they met Charles. "Okay you three i'll let you of this once. Beth please go upstairs and get changed with Master Theodore. Sarah help them then get back to work." All three nodded and ran upstairs.

"What fun everyday must be with people like them leaving in the house. I say though i know that one was a maid of the house and the other was Master Theo as i have seen him over at Harold's place but who is that girl?" Charles said looking at Miranda.

"That was Miss Elizabeth Winters though everyone calls her Beth as she does not like it of we use Miss or Lady" Miranda answered

"Oh so she's the guest Phillip has told me about. He was right she seems fun to hang around and she has placed a smile on little Theo's face."

"Yes she has the special gift of making people smile but it backfires with people who hate her as she then gives them smart comments and this causes tension in the air" Miranda said frowning but with a gleam in her eye. Charles smiled. He thought back to the time when he was a kid and a certain friend of his got them all in to trouble and had the same personality as the girl that he just met. "Uncle" came a voice behind them.

"Christopher my dear nephew how have you been" Charles said turning towards Chris.

"Good uncle. you?"

"Splendid my dear boy."

"What brings you here uncle?"

"Oh i came to talk to you about the case and about little Theo"

"Well please follow me to the study" Chris led the way to the study.

"I must say Chris when i came here today i thought it would be very quiet like usually but as i opened the door i was blasted from a scene from the past"

"Huh?"

"Well as i opened the door i was suddenly run over by two females and a small boy with an angry maid behind them." Charles said laughing.

"Ah i guess you met Beth and Sarah then with Theo" Chris said shaking his head wondering what they had done today knowing the girls they got Theo into a water fight and had to run from Miranda so that they wouldn't be punished.

"Yes they way they looked reminded me of when Fredrick, Harold, Your father and i were kids" Charles stated "Thanks to Fred we were always getting into  trouble with the maids especially when he usually got Nora involved as well"

"Nora?"

"Oh Nora rose she was a maid working in the mansion and she was the only one close to our age so we immediately got along. She later became his wife" Charles explained

"Oh i had heard that the late lords wife was a maid." Chris nodded his head in understanding.

Knock Knock.

turning their heads into the study came Beth with Theo in he arms. She curtsyed. "Welcome back Chris and hi again Master Charles"

"Please call me Charles Miss Elizabeth"

"Okay then call me Beth"

"Well as introductions are out of the way lets get down to business you said you had something important to say about Theo" Chris said turning the conversation serious.

Nodding Charles looked at Theo."Theo's grandfather came to visit him earlier today and the twins threw him out saying that they had given him to you to look after. He was wondering if he could come visit his grandchild or you can visit him as he would like to see Theo. He believes he doesn't have much time left or well the doctors believe. Him on the other hand he believes he'll live another 30 years."

"Yeah we can  visit him tomorrow. Would you like that Theo?" Chris asked the small boy who was still in Beth's arms. Theo just nodded "May we go read a book now Beth" he asked.

"Sure bye Chris bye Charles" Both men said bye and that is when the conversation turned towards the case.

"We have some new information about what happened that night. A witness has come forward saying that he saw the murder of Fred and Nora in an alleyway quiet by accident"

"Why didn't he come forward?"

"Ruel threatened his family he said"

"Figures. When can we talk to this witness"

"Not yet wait until Harold gets back so that we have someone keeping an eye on Ruel" Chris nodded

"Okay then"

"Well besides from that goodbye my dear nephew and good luck with your future wife Beth" Chris nodded then looked at him as he just realised what he said.

"She is not my future wife" he shouted

"Okay then" Charles said leaving the study and going to the door "Say bye to Beth and Theo for me please"

"Okay" and with that Charles left the house and Chris went to look for Beth and Theo.
