Chapter 21: Elemental

*Nevaeh's POV*

We got assigned our partners.

1st and 2nd blah blah blah.

The first four were also taken in this room to receive something else.

"You each will be given the power over a certain element. You will choose. 1st place goes first obviously but let me explain them all.

First there is earth. With controlling earth you can control rocks using your mind, like building rock weapons shelters things like that. You will also have the power to control plants, like speed or slow the growing process, and manipulating them to do what you want.

Then there's air. Controlling air includes flying, controlling the winds like sending gusts of wind at someone. Also you can knock the wind out of someone, or give it back. It's really nice when someone is having trouble breathing, because you can help them out.

Then there's fire. Fire is an interesting one, with fire you not only can create it take it away make it bigger smaller and what not, you also can control temperature. For example you can make a ball of fire that is white hot, or ice cold. You can also raise and lower the temperature in the room you're in. If you get powerful enough you can change temperature when you're outside, another thing is the temperature of your self and others bodies. That one is extremely difficult but still possible.

Lastly there is water. When controlling water you can control all forms of it, liquid, gas, ice/solid, even blood. You will manipulate it, moving it in the way you want.

Now, once you choose you will me given two things, a bottle filled with energy concentrated to fit your element, and a necklace to help control and master your power. Until the element has linked to your soul, you will not be able to use your gift unless you where the necklace.

Alright, 1st place. Choose"

I stepped forward.

On the table in front of me were four necklaces and four matching little bottles next to them.

I picked up the blue bottle and the water necklace.

I stepped back.

"With the bottles, if you are having trouble using your element and you are in danger, this is a last resort. Drink it and you will become ten times stronger and your element will be mastered. But once the effects wear off, you will never be able to take off your necklace without losing all your power. Now, 2nd place, choose"

She stepped forward and almost without thought she snatched up the red bottle and the fire necklace.

The next person was a guy and he grabbed the green bottle and the brown earth necklace.

The last was another girl who grabbed the remaining black bottle and air necklace.

"Good choices. Now you each will be given new dorms and they will be fitted to your elements next week. Here's your keys. You and your partner will have one room together, but three keys.
One for each of you and one extra. Now get to your dorms and go to bed. Good night"

She handed me a key.
