Meeting Cedar Logan

Cedar's P.O.V

My clock reads 6:45.

I, Cedar Logan, over slept. I have perfect attendance, no tardys or detentions, and straight A's. I'm What most people would call a "goody goody." And yet somehow, I manage to be late! I look at my phone to double check the time. Again, it says 6:45 in big, black, letters. The only thought that runs through my mind is, "what the flying freak happened?!?!" See, I'm even to much of a good girl to cuss. Well, that part is forced. If I cuss around my mom she'll be piss- I mean angry. Ya. Angry.

In a hurry I brush my hair and quickly apply some light make-up. I'm just packing up my school bag when my mother comes in

"What are you doing up so early?" she asks with a yawn.

"Mom! it's 6:55!" I say in a panicked voice

"Sweety, you did set your clock back yesterday, right?"

"No. I completely forgot!" I say with a groan.

"Well, you have an extra hour or so. Do something with your hair. You always just put it in a bun. How about you straighten it today!" she says

"Fine. Whatever." I mutter

I've never been the girly type, despite my "goody goody" reputation. If you could describe me in one word, it would be "geek." I'm a huge book nerd and I'm not afraid to show it. As you can tell from my large collection of book shirts. I'm always in jeans or sweats. Nothing special. No tight tops. Lose baggy stuff. Light makeup and a messy bun. Being like every other teenage I don't think I'm very pretty so I always where something quick and simple. No use trying to be something you're not. The only person you're fooling is yourself.

After getting completely ready (hair straight and all) I grab my book and an apple and start reading.

"Even after all this time?"

"Always."

It's like my billionth time reading the Harry Potter series but the story between Snape and lily gets me every time. It's going on 6:45. I walk to my car, start it up and start the ten minute drive to school.
