Prologue

2020;

Sa isang bahay sa Sydney, Australia.

Lauren (James' sister): "James! Someone wants to talk to you on the phone! Come down. " sigaw ni Lauren.

James: "I'm coming!" sagot neto while he was running down the stairs. "Who's this?"

Lauren: "Uhm. Enrique" binigay niya ang phone kay James.

James: "Wait, what!? Really?" he grabbed the phone. Na surprise eto dahil ang tagal na ng panahon bago sila magkausap or even see each other.

(on the phone)

James: Quen? Dude. How are you? How'd you know my number?

Enrique: Through your sister and I'm fine. How about you? How's your life there in Sydney?

James: It's been okay. Why did you call?

Enrique: I called to invite you to my wedding, with Nadine. (biro neto)

James: What the fuck?!?

Enrique: I'm kidding. Eto naman hindi mabiro (he laughed) Our batch is having a high school reunion. Kaya kita tinawag. And gusto ko sana na you'll come.

James: Really? Uh- sure. (he paused for a minute) But what about the girls? Are they coming?

Enrique: I talked to Liza na. And she's coming. Pero Nadine is still affected sa nangyari a few years ago, so she's not sure yet.

James: Should I try talking to her? Do you have her number? I mean I could talk to her on Instagram but she blocked me.

Enrique: As a matter of fact, I do have her number. We still talk and hangout rin.

James: Can I have her number?

Enrique: Bro, of course you can. I'll send you her number. And I got to go, cause Liza wants me to go shopping with her.

James: Oy. LizQuen is alive ha. Sige, I got to go na rin.

Enrique: We're just friends a'right? It was nice talking to you again. Also, message me when you're coming back to the Philippines para masundo namin ikaw.

James: Sure bro, you guys are just friends. I'm updated with every single details about LizQuen kaya. I'm still a fan of you both.

Enrique: Don't start a fight with me Robert. Sige I got to go. See you soon bro.

(end of phone call)

As soon as James got Nadine's number. He started calling her

Somewhere in the Philippines.

Nadine's phone rang. She was doing household chores so she didn't really heard her phone rang Pero after mga two more tawag sinagot na rin niya.

Nadine: "Mukhang international number ito ah. Who from?" she doubted. Pero sinagot parin niya.

(on the phone)

Nadine: Hello sino ito?

James: Nadine is this actually you?

Nadine: (nag isip isip pa siya nang sandali kung sino ang tumawag. Until she recognized the voice.) James?!? Ikaw ito?

James: Yes. Kumusta ka na?

Nadine: I'm fine. Why did you call and how did you got my number?

James: Enrique sent me your number. And I called to fix things.

Nadine: (she sighed) Si Enrique talaga. Tsaka anong fix things? Tapos na diba. We're over. Kaya fix na. Tsaka naka move on na tayo with our lives. Kaya okay na, it's all fixed.

James: Nadz. I know what happened was really bad and I know how much you were hurt. Pero I'm sorry. And I mean it.

Nadine: Pwede ba. Move on na tayo. Matagal na yun. Tsaka pwede ba bilisan natin itong paguusap nito, mahal ang bayad ng call from abroad.

James: Exactly. Matagal na at kung naka move on ka na, you'd be fine with talking to me. Tsaka kung naka move on ka hindi ka dapat affected sa nangyari.

Nadine: Ano ba kasi ang gusto mo at napatawag ka?

James: Come to the reunion. It will be fun and worth it, I promise.

Nadine: Promise ka ng promise di mo maman timutupad eh.

James: Look. Just come to the reunion, let's fix all the things that happened between us.

Nadine: Oo na! Pupunta na. Pero kung may makita man akong ayaw ko doon (she's talking about Liza, something happened to them before. I'll reveal what happened to them for the next chapters) uuwi na kaagad ako.

James: Yes!!! (he shouted)

Nadine: Kung makasigaw wagas. Sige na by---

James: Nadine, I'm sorry.

Nadine: Oo na sige na. Apology accepted. Bye na.

(end of call)

After ng phone call, bigla na lang bumalik ang mga alaala niya before. Yung mga good times nilang magkakasama. Nung tiningnan niya yung picture nilang apat (which is on top) napaluha siya. Not because James and her broke up. It's because of what happened to her and Liza. Childhood friends sila at bigla na lang nasira dahil sa isang pangarap.

Nadine: "What happened to us?" she asked herself.

A//N: Chapter 1 will be published soon. Yung chapter 1 and the rest of the chapters will be flashback of how they all met and what happened to their friendship.

I'm more focused on James and Nadine cause doon maapektuhan ang friendship nila, sa relationship ng JaDine but of course di naman mawawala ang LizQuen. And LizDine and JaQuen lol.
