It all started with the death of my brother. During the war, my brother, Jay, and I were positioned in a small town in Afghanistan. We were on lunch break, talking about how nice a day it was when a strikingly beautiful girl walked passes.
"I'm going to go talk to that girl" I said to Jay. He looked at me and laughed, then said sternly:
"No, we are on duty, we cannot leave our post".
"Don't worry", I smiled, "I will be right back". With that, I hurried off to the beautiful women and began to converse with her. As we were talking, I noticed that a small, teenage boy walked up to Jay. The boy had dark black hair as dark as night and deep brown eyes that made him look suspicious. He handed Jay a small package and ran off. Jay watched him leave, and then opened the package. The explosion rang through the town, busting my ear drums. In my ears, all I heard was a high pitched screeching sound. I stumbled forward, blindly, through the dust and smoke. I tripped and fell roughly to the dirt ground. I turn over to see what I tripped on, and later wish I hadn't. I blood curtailing scream ripped through my throat as I saw the dismembered leg that once belonged to my brother.
This memory flashed through my mind as I snuck into James Smith's house. I quietly maneuvered through the house till I came upon Mr. and Mrs. Smith watching the television late at night. I pulled out my Sword and positioned it in front of me. With one full swing of the sword, Mr. Smith's head tumbled off the couch and onto the floor. As Mrs. Smith went to scream, I quickly pulled the sword to my left and I sliced straight through her neck, making a loud squishing noise as it went through.
I started to make my way to James' room, careful to not make a sound. I slid open the door and cautiously entered it. he was sound asleep in his bed.His black hair clung to his forehead like a crown. His eyes were closed, but I knew that, under them, they were green.he was fifteen almost sixteen. I made my way over to the bed and towered over it.He looked so peaceful that I began to have doubts about killing him. That was, until, Jay showed up.
"Kill him" he demanded, "Kill him now!" Taking his advice, i lift the sword, high over my head and brought it down as hard as I could into the teenager's skull.
