OK, so as I was writing my future chapters I realized just how crumby this chapter actually is. Since I was so lazy while writing it, I'm going to be lazy and not revise it until further notice. Enjoy! :)
Don't speak, don't blink, don't BREATHE. The thought kept racing in Zephr's mind, he knew Vex and his Black Kyubi will find him if he screamed. But he couldn't let them eat this poor child.
"Stop!" He yelled. "I won't let you do that!" As the first Kyubi turned around and swung it's giant rotten claw at Zephr's chest, a flame lash darted through the sky, and killed it in an instant.
The mighty Flame Lash spell, learned only by the highest of Fire Mages, and Zephr was the last remaining one in all of the realms. The force of one lash can break the bones of any monster or human, followed by the searing burn of the fire. This was a feared technique in all of the realms.
"What?!" Screamed Vex "It's YOU!? Of all people to try and stop me, it had to be you!?" The words came from his mouth slower then the time it took for another lash to strike the Kyubi closest the the little girl. Then the next, and the next, and the next, until all that remained was Vex.
"You must go now, if you want to live!" Zephr screamed at the little girl. The girl began to run, but it was too late, the Kyubi was already upon her snapping its jaws around her foot, it's teeth instantly broke through her skin as she screeched in pain. It never stood a chance, as the girl's body broke open to reveal the true reason Vex was attacking her, she was the host of the demon Orochi
"You... IDIOT!" Why did you let her escape!" Yelled Vex, "I have been hunting her down, trying to stop this... thing before it escaped, and now you let it LIVE!" "H-how was I supposed to know? I thought you were just some evil spirit spoken of in legends, who would hunt down and kill anyone who tried to run!" Exclaimed Zephr, "Now you're telling me you were killing for a reason?!" "Ugh, YES! That is exactly why I was doing this, to keep Orochi from returning to this world."
The sky turned red as Orochi began to call every demon in the realm to his side, including the Kyubi, the earth began to crumble underneath Zephr, as the ritual of blood began.
This was it, the time of death, agony and doom for this realm. Don't speak, don't blink, don't BREATHE
