Not Happily Married

Roc and Jene's marriage has been going down hill.Every night they end up in an argument.Roc would get high or leave.They still were taking care of Adam and Gina.One night Roc came home late.Jene had came to the conclusion that Roc was cheating.The argument got too heated and Roc ended up with a busted lip,bloody nose and swollen jaw.He didn't hit her back.He tried to calm her down,but she didn't wanna hear it.He just left after they had the fight and went to the trap house to get high.He kept telling himself,it was just her hormones and pregnant mood swings.He hasn't been home in 2 weeks.

Jene and Kaka was sitting in the living of Kaka's house with Adam eating ice cream.Everybody was at school and Ray was out "working."

"I feel like I pushed him too far this time.I didn't mean to put my hands on him.I don't know if he's coming back home."Jene played with her fingers after eating the last of her ice cream.

Kaka shook her head."Child please.He just need some time.He gone come back home."

"I handled the situation wrong.He always leaving and don't come back til the next day only to repeat it.Kaka I don't know what too."

"Stop stressing over Roc,because he ain't leaving you no time soon.You ain't give him a chance to really explain all of this or himself.You did push him a little to far,but we know he ain't going nowhere soon.Y'all just need space.You going to the doctor tomorrow,call him or send him a text to remind him.You know he gone show up for his baby then,talk to him then."

Jene sighed."Being pregnant sucks.I know I wouldn't have done none of that if I wasn't pregnant,I just wasn't thinking."Kaka laughed a little."Why you laughing it ain't funny."Jene threw the empty ice cream carton at Kaka.

"Because it is.I'm just glad he didn't hit you back or I would've had to beat his ass myself."

Jene laughed a little and took the rest of Kaka's ice cream.He face fell as Asia and Drey walked through the door.He kissed Kaka's cheek and Jene's."Hey ma,hey Ney."

"Hey-"Asia ran to the bathroom before she could speak,Drey sighed and ran behind her.Kaka just shook her head.Kaka and Jene looked at them both when they came back "Is it something y'all wanna tell us?"

Drey and Asia looked at each other.Rey scratched his head "Asia is 3 months pregnant...."

"Congratulations.I wish yall would've just waited until Asia finished school though."Kaka played with Adam's little hands.

"I did too,but it is what it is.She gone finish college though."Drey looked at her,she rolled her eyes."Anyway where is daddy?"

Kaka shrugged "I don't really know.Why you not at school Asia?"

"I'm still not feeling well."

"That's how it is when you're pregnant,you still gotta go to class."Jene rubbed her stomach" You will get over it soon."

Asia laid on the couch "I hope so."

Everybody sat around talking for along time soon everybody came to Kaka's house.It was a friday so Mel and Kyle flew down.Roc and Ray walked in together.Everybody got quiet and looked at Roc.

"Daddy!!"Gina jumped up and ran to Roc.

He gave her a weak smile and hugged her.You could clearly see he was out of it.He had bags under his eyes and his eyes were bloodshot red.He glanced at Jene and then sighed.He walked up to the stairs to the guest room to take a shower.Jene pushed herself up to go talk to him,while Kaka and Ray went to go cook for everyone.

Jene sat on the bed searching for some words to say to Roc,while he was in the shower.She started to get emotional before they even started to talk.After 20 minutes Roc came out in a towel.He looked in the closet for his clothes he left over there from last time.He didn't even notice Jene on the bed until he sat on the bed.It was so much tension in the air."Roc...."Jene said barely above a whisper.
