Chapter 7: The Will to Protect

Andrew's P.O.V

After defeating the Red-Eyed Chimera Beast, I put my sword back into its sheath and went to where Kathy is healing everyone. "Is everyone okay, Kathy?" I said.

"Not yet, Papa. This uncle is in much danger. His HP is already at 5%. So it will take a lot of mana before I can heal him." she said as she was healing Edward.

After a few minutes, Kathy is done with healing Edward and the others. So me and Kathy went to the tree near everyone. "Kathy come here! You are tired now. Why don't you rest on my shoulder?" I said and she sleeps on my shoulder. Without realizing, I fell asleep as well.

Diana's P.O.V

I opened my eyes. I saw everyone beside me sleeping. I stood up and saw that there is a barrier around the place. I looked around and saw Andrew and Kathy sleeping together. He is so cute when he is asleep and suddenly, my heart started to race. No Diana no. You can't fall in love with him. I still love Edward and that will not change.

My tears started to fall. "I'm sorry, Andrew. I've been a burden to you. You keep on appearing every time I was in a lot of trouble. I wanted to protect everyone but every time I was on the situation, my body couldn't move and I stare at everyone as they tried everything to protect us. I'm sorry for being a burden to you and thank you for saving me every single time." I said out loud.

"You aren't a burden to me. No matter what happens, I will protect you and I will be your hero. Count on that!" Andrew said half-asleep. My started to beat even faster than before like I was fallen for him. No no no, I can't fall for him, I already rejected him. He will think that I was playing a prank on him. So I went to everyone and wake them up.

Normal P.O.V

After Diana wake everyone up, Laura and the girls started cooking breakfast for everyone. Kathy also joins them in cooking. For a couple of minutes, they are done cooking and everyone started eating. 

"Wow. This is really good. What is this meat anyway?" Alex said.

"It's Green-eyes rabbit meat. There are really rare. Edward manage to find it while we are wondering in the forest. Do you like it?" Karen said.

"Of course we do." All the guys said happily.

So they continue eating until nothing left is on the bowl. They packed all the stuffs and they get ready to continue to get to Gogas City. After packing everything, they stood up.

"I think we should follow you until we get out of this place. It will also make Kathy happy seeing Diana again for a long time." Andrew said.

"Wait...After we are out of the forest, you are going to leave just like that. Why are you trying to avoid us? Did we do something to make you avoid us?" Diana screamed at Andrew.

"No, It's not like that. I don't want to talk about it." Andrew said while looking on the ground.

"That same answer again. YOU'VE BEEN SAYING THAT SINCE WE WERE IN THE REAL WORLD! YOU ALWAYS SAY THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT! SO NOW TELL ME, WHY ARE YOU AVOIDING US? DO YOU HATE US TO THE POINT THAT YOU ARE IGNORING US?" Diana said in anger.

"Diana, calm down." Alex said.

"HOW CAN I CALM DOWN? HE'S ALWAYS LIKE THAT, HE ALWAYS DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HOW I FEEL WHEN I WAS BEING IGNORE BY A FRIEND." Diana said.

"IGNORING YOU? EVER SINCE I CONFESS TO YOU, YOU STARTED IGNORING ME. YOU EVEN SAID THAT WE CAN ALWAYS BE FRIEND BUT YOU STARTED IGNORING ME! ISN'T THAT ENOUGH? OKAY I'LL TELL YOU! I still like you, okay? But whenever I see you happy with other guys, my heart started to break. So I tried ignoring you so that I wouldn't ruin your life, relationship or anything that makes you mad. I always kept seeing you happy with Carlo. If that makes you happy, I will not ruin it. That's it I've told you everything. Now I'm leaving. I'll let Kathy stay with you until I am back with my myself." Andrew shouted at first but then started crying.
