Mike's POV-

"You see, since the people don't know who me and Steve are, we were gonna go in disguised. But... Since Steve and I... Parted ways, it's gonna be just me." Nancy spoke, showing it to me. I looked at it and pointed to where it said she was guiding someone.

"What is that?" I asked, she looked and realized what I was talking about.

"Well... They will only let me in the lab if I have a child to 'test on'"Nancy said, Joyce looked at us three kids.

"I hate to say this... But one of you had to go with her..." Joyce said, folding her arms. It was silent for a second as everyone looked at each other.

"I'll go." I said, standing up. Nancy looked at me like I was crazy.

"Are you sure? We could get in some major trouble." Nancy said as Jonathan walked in and sat beside her. She averted her eyes for a second and I almost smirked.

"Yeah. I want to find Eleven more then anyone here. I'm going." I stated. They nodded and Hopper walked in from outside, he held a gown like the one el had on. And a lab coat.

"So you ready?" Hopper asked. Me and Nancy looked at each other and nodded.

I had on the gown. Nancy had a razor in her hand and she hovered over me.

"Look man, I'm already bald I can do this instead." Lucas tried to reason with me, him Dustyn and Will all agreed.

"Yeah, your hair is amazing. I don't think it's worth it man." Dustyn agreed.

"No. Eleven will be more happy to see me... No offense, besides I don't mind giving it up... I think." Mike said, petting his hair one last time.

"None taken but... Are you sure?" He asked. I thought for a few seconds before nodding. Nancy turned on the razor and I shivered slightly, muttering.

"Here goes nothing."

El's POV-

The girls had me change into something more comfortable and I sat in front of them at the table in their living room. Twelve was sitting in front of me, showing me her power as Thirteen sat on a chair in the living room, which was basically the same room since the opening. I coughed slightly and they looked at me.

"The atmosphere hit ya pretty hard didn't it?" Twelve asked, looking at me in humor. I nodded slightly, coughing again. Twelve got up and turned on the facet. Grabbing a cup and handing it to me once she filled it. I looked at it worriedly.

"Don't worry. My power makes it so the water is also clean. I mean as clean as it can get anyway." Twelve stated. " so what's your power?"

I looked at her for a second, wondering if I should tell her. I decided yes, and looked at the water. It slowly started to levitate and I looked at her, sitting it down slowly.

"Nice! You can move objects with your mind?" Thirteen asked, walking over to the table too. I nodded. Twelve smirked evilly.

"This is gonna be fun."

Mike's POV-

I looked in the mirror, feeling my head where my hair used to be. I was doing this for El. Remember that Mike.

I heard a knock on the bathroom door and I walked over and opened it to see Hopper and Nancy.

"You look nice." Hopper said, he had a smirk on his face and I rolled my eyes. "Ready to go?"

"Ready then I'll ever be." I muttered, looking down at the gown I had on. Nancy had on a pair of glasses and the lab coat outfit.

I followed Hopper and Nancy in the car and sat in the back seat. Nervousness washed over me.

Will we find her? Will she even recognize me without my hair? Will she be alive? What would I do then? Be heartbroken, I'm positive about that.

"We're here." Hopper said, I looked up to see we were indeed there. Wow that was fast. I nodded, getting out along with them. I looked at them and spoke.

"Let's do this."
