Remus grew very close to Madame Pomfrey during his time at Hogwarts, how could they not when he spent so much time with her after the moon? After his mother died he would call her mum now and then by accident and get very embarrassed but she was fine with it, he was the closest thing she had to a son. When Dumbledore or other teachers tried to see him after the full moon she would brush them away with ‘you’re not disrupting my boy while he is healing’. She cried the day he left the school but they remained in touch during his time in the order and visited her for dinner like a real son would. She nearly kissed Dumbledore when he told her Remus was returning to teach.
