Birthday Bash -9-

I woke up and checked my phone. 4:45. Thank god I didn't have practice today. I had a text from Luke.

Hey, babe. Call me when you wake up, I have a surprise.(:

I smiled, then clicked on his contact, calling him.

"Hey babe. Why did I have to call you?" I ask when he answers.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!!" he screams.

"Oh my gosh. Luke! I totally forgot that was today! With everything that's happened this week, I never even thought about it. You never cease to amaze me. I love you." I say. I can't believe I forgot.

"No problem baby. In three days, you, me, Demi, and Allison will be on our way to Texas to meet your family. Don't make plans tomorrow. I'm spending the day with you. Demi has you today, but tomorrow you're all mine. I gotta go, I love you."

"Someone's possessive." I laugh. "But alright. I guess I could fit in a day with my amazing boyfriend. Love you too babe." I hang up and smile. A heavy sigh escaping my lips. Today is going to be a good day, I can tell.

"I'm guessing that was Luke?" Demi asks. I jump, not knowing she was awake.

"Jesus! Make a little noise, would you? Yes, that was Luke, if you must know."

"Guess what?" Demi says.

"What Demz? Did you get me a puppy? Maybe a horse? Oh! I know! You got me a clownfish named Nemo." Demi laughs,

"Happy Birthday!!" she says while handing me three backstage passes to her concert tonight, tickets to her meet and greet, and three light sabers.Awesome! Light Sabers!!

"Demi...How'd you know it was my birthday?" I ask.

"A big sister knows things. You, Luke, and Allison are coming to my concert tonight." She says with a smile.

"Finally!! I-" my phone starts ringing. I mouth 'Sorry' to Demi, and answer it.

"Hello?"

"Happy Birthday sis!"

"Thanks Maddie. I appreciate it."

"No prob sis. Ugh. Sorry, gotta go. Mom wants to go shopping. See ya in a few days." She says before hanging up.

I look over to see Demi asleep. I get a text from Allie saying happy birthday. I text her back telling her to come over around 3:30 for a surprise. I get up and go to the basement, which is basically my music room. It's got a few guitars, two drum sets, and a bunch of microphones. I plug my iPod into the stereo system we have down here and grab a guitar. I hit shuffle and "Roar' from the latest Glee episode comes on. I start singing and playing along. I get to the bridge and play the chords, but before i can sing, Demi takes over. She finishes the song while I keep playing.

"That was amazing!" I say when it's over.

"You're really good." She says as I put the guitar back and move to drums.

Demi's song 'Solo' comes on and I get into it. I have to admit, for a fifteen year old, I'm pretty good at the drums. Demi sings the sing, grabs a guitar and starts playing along with me. We rock out for another three hours, but I sing most of the songs since Demi has a concert tonight. We go upstairs to get some food and I look at the clock. Noon. Wow. We were down there for WAY longer than I thought. We eat, then head to the mall to get my new phone and do a little other shopping too. I get a black iPhone 5. They transfer my contacts, but give me a new number thankfully. We walk around the mall for about an hour then head home.
