A/N: I know I haven't updated Here Goes Nothing in a really long time but I'm just extremely stuck on the chapter I'm writing for it. So in the mean time, here's this new story I've had an idea for. Enjoy. :)
Chapter 1: Seniors and Mr. Handsome
Her POV
You know that night before the first day of school and you can't sleep because you're so use to being up late and having "wild" nights at home on the internet by yourself? That's precisely what I was suffering from at this moment.
First day of senior year tomorrow and I was up at 2am getting zero sleep. I just couldn't sleep. My body was too use to staying up to 5am every night surfing the internet and watching movies. Which is what usually all of my summer days consisted of. Okay, most. It's not like I'm a loser without friends. I just have friends who have lives.
So anyways. I was in bed, not able to sleep. So I decided to watch a movie. What movie you ask? Oh just some romantic comedy. I guess that's one lame thing about me. I like to watch romantic comedies, although not on a regular. Just when I'm feeling lame. I actually love horror movies the most.
I fell asleep at 4, just as the main guy was going to tell the beautiful brunette he was in love with her. The movie consisted of cute dates, corny jokes, etc. It was cute but I guess I had to finish it tomorrow night.
Two hours of sleep later, my alarm blared and scared me awake. Jesus Christ, next time I should turn the volume down, I thought. I dragged myself out of bed just as my mom walked in to tell me to get up. She was dressed and ready for work, as she always is an hour before we leave.
"Kellan, don't lag too much today, it's the first day of your senior year! Aren't you excited?!" She was clasping her hands dramatically. She's an extreme morning person. I, on the other hand, not so much.
"Yes mom I'm excited." And it was true, I was, I was just also extremely tired because it was only 5:30.
"Go get ready! We need to take pictures!"
"Okay mom, okay. Let me get ready then."
"Alright sweetie!"
I showered and blow dried my hair. Since it was the first day of school, I had to try to make myself look decent so I did. I curled my hair for the first time in ages and even added a bow in the back, just because I could. I put on eyeliner, mascara, just a little foundation, and the tiniest bit of blush. I finished off the makeup with some red lipstick. I looked pretty good. I went to get dressed and picked out an outfit I thought was suitable. Summer wasn't my favorite season, so I didn't have that many great outfits for the time. I decided on a plain tanktop with a plaid, red oversized flannel, denim shorts, and white converse. It wasn't very dressy but who did I have to impress? Only myself.
My mom called me and my brother downstairs around 7:15 to eat and of course, take pictures.
"Oh my, you two are so adorable! My little freshman and my grown up senior!" My brother and I shared a glance.
"Okay babies, smile! ... Oh my heart. Dan, don't they look great? We have such beautiful children."
Oh gosh.
"Yes Elizabeth, they're beautiful." My dad ruffled my brother's hair and kissed me on the cheek.
"Thanks dad." I said.
I heard a honk outside and checked my phone. I suspected it was my friends, Sydney and Jack. I saw a text from Sydney that confirmed it was them outside.
"I'm leaving now!" I said as I scooped up my backpack and headed for the front door.
"Have a good day!" My dad said.
"Wait, sweetie, don't you think you should take Jason with you?" My mom asked me.
My brother cringed, "No mom, I don't wanna go with her."
I stuck my tongue out, "Fine then, freshie. See you at school."
I left the house and was excited to see Sydney and Jack again. I hadn't seen them in a month. Sydney had gotten a job during the last month of summer break and Jack had his guy friends that he skated with and all that junk.
"Kellan!" Sydney screamed from the front seat.
I excitedly ran to the car. As I got in, Jack said, "Hey Kells. You look hot."
I blushed, "Thanks."
"Kellan I missed you so much," Sydney climbed into the backseat with me. "You look so great!"
"You too." I smiled. And she did, with her straight brown hair and great make up.
"You two ladies ready for the first day of the best year of school ever?" Jack grinned at us from the front mirror.
"Hell yeah!" Sydney exclaimed, even bouncing a little in her seat. "This year we're gonna fuck shit up!"
I laughed, "Yes we are."
And with that, Jack cranked up the rock music he was playing and sped off my street and went on the way to our school. We got there in about 10 minutes. The music still was blasting as he dropped Sydney and I off in front.
"I'll go park!" he yelled.
We nodded and headed to the office to pick up our schedules. We ended up having AP Lit, Calculus and Theater together. We were still talking about how fun those classes would be with each other when Sydney practically squeezed my arm so hard I thought it'd break.
"OW! Sydney, what is your-" I stopped mid sentence as I noticed the cutest boy I had ever seen at River View High walking down the hall. Holy shit he was gorgeous,
"KELLS HE'S BEAUTIFUL." Sydney would not stop staring and I was trying to snap her out of it.
"He's going to notice you, you fucking freak!"
"WHO CARES OH MY GOD. HE'S HOT."
The cute guy walked past us and laughed.
My cheeks turned so hot I thought they'd catch fire.
"Yo, I got my schedule." I heard Jack say. Thankful he was back, I turned around and took his schedule from him. Sydney, on the other hand, was still starstruck by Mr. Handsome. She squealed and squeezed me again. "He noticed us!"
"You idiot, he saw us staring and thinks we're stupid! He laughed!" My cheeks were still on fire.
"Who laughed?" Jack asked.
"Nothing, just this guy-" I started to explain.
"This super fucking hot guy." Sydney interjected.
"Was walking down the hall," I continued, "and he was really cute."
"Oh my god, really?" Jack mocked us and said that in his most girlest voice he could make.
"Shut up, you're just jealous you're not that hot." Sydney punched him. He pretended to look hurt and wiped away a fake tear.
"Yeah, yeah. But nobody's hotter than me." He flexed his 'muscles' and grinned.
"So, ANYWAYS, Jack! We all have theater and Lit together! And second lunch!" I gave him back his schedule and he fist bumped me, "Aaalrightttt."
"Okay ladies, shall we head to Lit together?" He took us arm in arm and we strolled down the halls to Lit, with our seniority crushing every Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior we saw.
A/N: So, what did you guys think? I'm liking it, are you?! Matter of fact, the second chapter is already being thought of. Great things ahead. ;) Comment, vote, fan. Update coming very soon! :)
