When my eyes whisper open all I see is
gray,
Life moves around me undisturbed
People are talking, laughing and sharing
They are so numb to the humankind
I close my eyes and the truth comes out
The Earth is covered in ashes
Animals drop dead one by one
People are running through the streets
Rivers of blood run never ending
Beasts roam trying to relive their gluttony
Fires flame uncontrollably
The oceans eat their fill of the land
Children's screams go unanswered
People yell what have we done
I watch the world fall without a fight
I once again open my eyes and all I see is
gray
