together again -chapter 5

||MAKI'S POV||

A few days passed, but Nico was still in the hospital. But the doctor finally clarified that she will be out very soon! I was so exited to see her out of the hospital bed! Me, nozomi, Eli, Rin, and Honoka were thinking of throwing her welcome home party!
'What kind of cake does she like?' Honoka asked me.
'She loves anything sweet, so any type of cake will do!'
'We should get plain vanilla, because everyone likes vanilla!' Honoka added
'Nyan! I love vanilla!' Rin said with a smile.
'Okay, now lets get some decoration.' Honoka finished. Ever sense Nico was in the hospital, I've been visiting her everyday. I put on my red coat, ready to get there. I always walk there because it's not far. When I got into nico's room, she was asleep. She looked normal. Like she didint ever get hurt. She just had her cast on her leg. But that's gonna be off soon, it's only temporary. Her leg was not that not. I sat on her bed, and just looked at her. She's so cute. I saw her open her eyes. Then she gasped and said 'MAKI' with a exited look. She hugged me real tight.
'What are you doing her? I haven't seen you in forever!'
'What do you mean? I was here yesterday.' I said with a smile, thinking she was joking.
'What do you mean? No one came here yesterday.'
'Nico?...'
'What's up?'
'Do you know why you're in here'
'Of course I do. I can't remember too much though. Well.. Hm.. I think I was sad about something. And I was asking across the street, looking down. I didint know who or what was around me. And I guess someone didint see me either. And then ran right past me. But they got too close to me. I remember falling to the floor, feeling weak.'
'N-Nico... That really happened!?' I said with tears rolling down my cheek.
'Well yea.'
'Nico, do you know who I am?'
'You're maki, duh!'
'Okay, do you know what we are?'
'What do you mean?'
'Like, what are we. Friends, or anything else or whatever.'
'Oh. You're my girlfriend.' Nico said with a smile. I was so happy to hear that, that my tears turned into tears of joy. I smiled back at her, and she kissed me on the cheek.
'Maki, I can't remember too much, but I do remember what I did to you. I'm so sorry... I hate myself for it...'
'Nico! What the hell!'
'Uh, what?'
'Why would you say you hate yourself!'
'Maki..'
'Don't ever say that again! You're the reason I would wanna stay alive! I would give up my life for you! I love you Nico! Don't ever say that again.'
'Maki...'
'I'm sorry Nico, but I just can't believe you said that. I love you Nico. I wanna be with you forever.'
'I want to be together forever too... You know maki.. My whole life, I never thought anyone was ever gonna love me.'
'Nico, that's why you have me.'
'I wanna get married someday. And not just to anyone. I wanna marry you!'
'I love you so much Nico...'
'I love you too.'
And as always, I kissed her. A few days after that, Nico got out of the hospital! And her cast was already off. She was doing really well! When she walked in her room, everyone poped out of no where and said SUPRISE! It was the best! We all had a great time. And, we even had a sleepover at nico's house!

||NICO'S POV||

It was so fun! At night, we watched a movie, and me and maki were on the couch, and I cuddled her to death! I was practically laying on her! She was really warm, and I loved that. She kissed me on the cheek a few times. I love her kisses. I love her. Maki, she's my girlfriend. And in the future I'll force her to be my wife!
