Once upon a moonlit night, they stayed hidden in the shadowed light
Their eyes glisten darkly, showing the intellect of their core
Truly it was in their marrow, where they had no room for sorrow
They only saw tomorrow, tomorrow would be fluent once more
Till one night, with the moon high, they would open their eyes no more
Bathed in blood forevermoreWarm flesh torn, with blood gushing, against the stark bone with teeth clashing
The feast has begun, gashing, and the carcass bears life no more
These magnificent beasts revise sleek wiry bodies shared the feast
When they cease, lifeblood and other gore, slowly drips to the floor
All they ask is to chase the wind, agile feet pounding the floor
To survive, forevermoreThrough the sable pigmented night's sky, the honorable soar high
With bright piercing eyes that saw through the forest by way of lore
Fast, fast, fast it flew, reading its claws for capture of its slew
The intelligent knew that soon, the risen moon would call more
It was time, with only one victor, and he who lives no more
To survive, forevermoreAll around the great battles commence, for some it was a contest
There, near and far, are those who hunt, those who are prey, at death's door
Who end up dead and devoured, against those who seem empowered
If they are a coward they most certainly shall be no more
Tis the great mystical circle of life, the end at no more
The game is, forevermore!
