Mairin walks through the shrubbery just off the open of the dirt path, as she searches for a good chance to snap some pictures of the nearby Pikachu. she hears a silent noise in the distance, and then a grab from behind.
She screams as the Charizard sweeps her off her feet, Alain groaning at how ridiculous he thinks she is being.
"Put me down!" she screams hitting Charizards clawed feet as she clutching her shoulders. Charizard swiftly glides through the air, over the trees of route 16, and comes to a landing just outside of the league, placing her down softly onto her feet.
"Marin!" Alain jumps off Charizard and runs to hug her, and swings her around in his arms. "Marin.... im so sorry.... i have been distant and i... its all my fault and..." he lets out, seeing tears in her eyes.
"No Alain, im sorry... from the start you warned me that this would be a dangerous adventure... but... i couldnt bare to leave you.... you are... i like you Alain.... not just as a friend... but then Chespie... and i fell depressed... im the one that should be sor--" she begins to apologize, but Alain pulls her in, pressing his lips to hers, holding her with his right hand on her cheek, and the other on the small of her back.
There bodies press together, and then Alain pulls away from her to say. "I love you mairin.. never leave me again" and he smiles.
