*Nathaniel's POV*
"I'm sorry Nathaniel but we made up our mind." I was frustrated but I didn't raise my voice. I didn't argue I had tried all week trying to get my parents to change their minds about moving away. I sighed in defeat as my mom pleaded with her eyes for me to drop the subject that I had no choice but to go along with.
"Fine you guys win but at least let me stay until the game tomorrow!" I gave my mother puppy eyes and made my bottom lip quiver. She could never resist it. Being her only child was a big advantage to me a lot of the time but not this time apparently.
I didn't believe it she resisted it. So I tried again sweetening the deal. "Alright how about just go to school today? No game just today so I can say my goodbyes? And you guys can pick me up from school. No after school activities I won't resist I promise."
As father walked in my mother had already said yes and was telling me to get into their car since apparently mine was already sent to our new home. Great, guess the whole week of me pleading was a waste of time. Mother and father looked at each other as if they were talking through some kind of mind link, I don't even know don't ask, after a few seconds my father nodded his head and my mom quickly shoved me outside into the black mustang and drove me to school.
So this was the last day I ever walked through these hallways I thought as I pushed the double doors open. All eyes were on me waiting to hear if I convinced my parents minds so the schools star quarterback would stay. I slowly shook my head looking straight forward into the hallway saying, "I had no luck, today is my last day." Everyone started to panic a little and I could hear them all muttering about the game tomorrow. "I'm sorry guys" were the last words I spoke before heading to class. Only if they knew no matter what I had done wouldn't have changed my parents minds.
Today was going by painfully slow everyone kept talking about how our school is going to lose all because I'm leaving. My parents didn't even let me stay long enough to play the game which was such a bust. Then again I wasn't even suppose to be here today either but hey I tried. I had so been looking forward to playing for weeks now. This was all I was going to hear all day.
By lunch things hadn't dialed down at all. Once I walked into the cafeteria everything went silent all eyes on me. I lowered my head and slowly walked over to the table with the rest of the football team.
"Hey guys," I muttered as I sat down next to my best friend, Mike. I didn't even bother getting food nor sitting up straight so I slouch.
Mike placed his hand on my back and pushed it making me sit up straight. "Dude don't slouch and stop looking as if you were a sad puppy! The ladies don't like it when you're down. Even if they love your puppy pout!" He said half joking and half serious. The rest of the guys chuckled at his statement.
"You guys think you can win this game for me?" I laugh knowing what responses I'm going to get.
They all started talking at once saying things like "Of course man!" or "Have some faith in us will you?" I cracked a smile. Yup these were my guys sadly soon our fun will end.
I gave them my football uniform to give to the coaches since I told my parents no after school activities. My mom had told me I had to be ready once they came I could be in the hallways but not the locker room.
Mike nodded and shoved my freshly washed uniform into his backpack and told me, "I'll give him the rest of your stuff from our locker." I had nothing special in my locker just random wrappers of food. Mostly everything valuable in there was Mike's stuff. So no need to go back at all I had no excuse to my parents to go in there. I had tried but nothing.
_______________________________________________________________After lunch things started to settle down the rest of my day went by normally.
I socialized with all my friends, did my work, I even talked to some girls I knew liked me. It was no big deal really.
I remember Mike telling me, "Nathan, I swear man you need to find a girlfriend. So many girls are interested in you but you seem to have no interest in them. You can have any girl in school but you choose to stay single!"
We had been at practice that day I looked over at Emily she was head cheerleader I heard she had an interest in me but I really didn't want to be with her. Don't get me wrong she was beautiful with her light brown wavy hair, green eyes, dimples and her body. The girl could pass off as being Aphrodite's daughter!
Even as how beautiful she was I wasn't going to ask her out it just didn't feel right. I felt like someone else, someone far away was meant for me. I couldn't really explain it. I had told Mike but he just laughed and said that's how he felt when his mom wouldn't make his favorite dish, crab with a side of carrots and potatoes. So he would have to settle down for some pizza. I wouldn't judge him though. His mom is an amazing cook.
By the time the final bell rung some people had given me goodbye gifts, mostly the girls. The last one to give me a gift was Emily. She approached me in her cheerleader outfit, they had practice today after school for the game tomorrow. She held out a small red leathered box out to me. I took it out of her hands our fingers touching as I grabbed it. I slowly opened it seeing a ring it was engraved with my name on it. The ring wasn't so plain or heavenly designed either. There were two footballs carved next to my name. I took the ring into my fingers feeling it's smooth surface.
"Do you like it? I tried my best to get something for you that meant something." She was looking down at the floor slightly blushing.
"It's amazing Emily. It was so thoughtful of you." I lightly grabbed her chin making her look at me. Her emerald green eyes looked down at my lips I felt my lips slowly turn into a smile. She closed her eyes and started to lean in my eyes widen to her action. She thought we were gonna kiss I didn't know what to do I couldn't just push her away.
Thankfully, Mike was here to rescue me. He called out for me telling me my parents were here to pick me up so I could leave. I took the advantage of this and pulled away from Emily. I muttered an apology and quickly ran to the front doors.
I gave the football team one last smile and hand shakes before I left. They were all ready for practice for our/their big game tomorrow. I got into my parents black mustang and waved at my friends goodbye.
I put my earbuds in and listened to Angel with a shotgun by the cab. "I'm an angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun. Angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun. Get out your guns battles began. Are you a saint or a sinner? If loves a fight then I shall die with my heart on trigger." This song had become my favorite mostly because the meaning it had behind it.
I glanced out the window staring at all the passing buildings, all the people trying to get to their destinations. I closed my eyes trying to fall asleep to forget about everything that happened today. I played with the ring Emily gave me and I slowly fell asleep.

Nathaniel...
Nathaniel ...
My name was being called from all different directions. I could feel my heart in my throat no words could come out. I was surrounded by trees, bushes, darkness. My name continued to be called the voice wasn't so raspy and threatening like before.
Nathaniel...
A figure appeared, the figure started to take form, a form of a wolf. It's fur fully silver, eyes icy blue. I didn't feel threaten by him. I don't know how to explain it. It, he, felt as if he belonged with me.
I slowly started to walk to the wolf hand extended outwards reaching for his head. Before I could touch him other figures started to appear. It was my football team, Mike was in the front leading them towards me. I could hear his voice, "Nathan, come on man come to practice! We need to win this game!" The rest of the team nodded.
I looked back at the wolf another figure starting to form next to him. A girl, she was beautiful more beautiful than Emily was. Her black curly hair fell down to mid back, her grey eyes full of life and joy. Her body perfect, resembled an hour glass. Her skin looked smooth, so soft, her perfectly tanned skin was covered by some ripped skinny jeans, simple white blouse and black combat boots. Emily could pass of as Aphrodite's daughter but hell this girl could be Aphrodite and Hera combined.
She held out her small tanned hand out to me, her voice called out to me, "Nathaniel, please come. I need you. I want you. I desire you." The words came out smooth, no threat in them only promise. A promise that said there would be wedding bells, children, that we would die old together.
Mike's voice made me snap my head back around. "You can't leave us for a girl! Come on Knight keep your heart in check! There is no time for girls!" This oh this made my blood boil. How could he say that about such a beautiful girl that had cute plump pink lips that I could kiss all day and all night. Oh if she would let me I would give her a night to remember.
The girl placed her hand out again, "Please Nathaniel." I looked between her and the wolf to Mike and the football team. Something seemed off, Mike didn't really look like himself. His eyes weren't their usual hazel color they were black, no white to be seen. It's as if his pupil ate up all his eye.
Before I could say a word he jumped at me. His canines became sharp, claws extended from his finger tips. A growl escaping his lips as he aimed for my neck.
