Chapter One: (Ed's POV)
"No, really! The bear reared up on its hind legs and nearly attacked me!" Val told her older brother Ed.
"That must have been some camping trip," Ed said, giving his sister a joking look.
"You don't believe me, do you? Ask Dad. He was there, and he saw the bear," Val retorted.
Ed laughed. "0kay, I will," He said, turning on heel. "Hey, Dad!" he shouted as he ran out of the room.
Right at that moment, Ed's phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and glanced at the screen, but didn't recognize the number. "Hello?" he said into the phone.
"Hi. Is this Ed?" he heard a female voice ask.
"This is he. May I ask who this is?"
"I'm with Taylor Swift. She was wondering if she could meet up with you at the coffee shop at fifth and thirteenth, tomorrow at ten?" the voice said.
Ed was still slightly confused. "Pardon my asking, but how did you get my number?" he asked her, perplexed.
"I am not sure exactly, but I believe Taylor said she got it from a girl, about eighteen, by the name of Valerie." she answered.
/Val,/ he thought. /Of course./
"Hello? Are you still there?" The voice on the phone pulled him back to reality.
"Yes. Sorry. Coffee, tomorrow at ten sounds lovely. Where again?" Ed went to get a shred of paper.
"The shop on fifth and thirteenth. Downtown." she repeated.
Ed scribbled the details. "Okay, thank you ma'am. I will be there!" Ed hung up. /I am going to coffee with Taylor Swift. / he thought.
