So my last "entry" got a little dark and personal. And I'm sorry if you didn't like that but I'm going to try and have a mixture of funny, personal and serious on this wattpad diary.

I want this diary to have a meaning. I want to bring joy to people's day when they are feeling like shit and need someone or something to brighten up their day. But I also want this to be a place that is truthful and not all sunshine and rainbows. This is our corner of the Internet and we can say or do what we want here and not hold back. So why should you and I be scared to say what we want?

If you have a topic you would like me to touch on, feel free to comment and if I like it I'll definitely talk about the subject in one of my entries.

Anyway, I wanted to touch on the subject of school. Now I'm not the smartest fish in the sea but I'm also not the dumbest. I occasionally fail some subjects and I can't help that. But what I can help is helping schools learn a thing or two about what they are doing to their students.

Kids in our society just like you and I are having so much pressure put on our shoulders when we are only young. High schools telling us that we have to know what we want to do when we are only 13 years old, taking exams and doing assignments, competing against other schools to see who's smarter for no apparent reason. Our schools are telling us that we aren't smart enough to have freedom in our career path.

We have been brainwashed to believe that the key to our success in the future and our intelligence all comes down to one thing, a result on a piece of paper. This is absolute bullshit. Just because you're bad at maths doesn't mean your dumb because you could be a genius in something that you haven't discovered yet.

To prove that we are worthy of going to university we have to go into a humid room with other students that are shitting themselves and vomit YEARS of knowledge onto a few pieces of paper. They don't care if you have shit going on at home because apparently we are supposed to shove 6 years worth of knowledge into our fucking head and then write it all down on some paper they give us.

And people wonder why more and more kids are increasingly getting anxiety and depression. It's because of our society. Our society lives and breathes on out doing each other in so many ways. If you're pretty you're automatically better than people that may not be as pretty as you on the outside but on the inside the "pretty" ones, are normally the ugly ones.

Our schools believe that just because we aren't good at algebra or monologues, that we are dumb and unworthy of going to university. We are only bad at these things because we don't like them and that's okay, learning Pythagoras's theorem isn't everybody's bloody cup of tea and it for sure ain't mine.

Everyone says this but I'm only saying it because it's true. When are we ever going to reuse, for example, algebra again in our day to day life? It's very unlikely.

Try to not dwell on school work (I know, once again not taking my own advice) because honestly if you are really passionate about something then you'll find a way to get there. There are other ways of getting to your destination and not just one.

Anyway I think I have rambled enough. Once again like I said before, if you have a subject you'd like me to touch on please comment it as I'd love to know your ideas!

until next time..
au revoir! 👋🏻
