Prologue
*Syn’s POV*
Hi there readers, I just wanted to welcome you all back into this book by saying it’s been a great three years. Now let me tell you why these three years have been wonderful…
*Cue Flash Back*
I watched as they quickly stuck the needle into Mia’s arm and put a mask over her face. I gripped her hand tight as if it had been when she had her heart malfunction. I saw her eyes slowly start to close as she drifted off into a peaceful sleep. The doctors started pushing her all the way down the hallway into the emergency room. I prayed she was going to be okay. Heath and Zacky rushed over to me as soon as they saw the doctors running down the hall.
“What’s going on?” Heath said looking over my shoulder at Mia. I looked at her as I continued rushing along with them.
“They called for an emergency C-Section. Her blood pressure started dropping insanely low,” I said trying to keep up.
“Keep an eye on her please, Syn,” Heath said as she stopped and started talking with Zacky. I rushed to keep up. We walked into the room and the doctors immediately stabilized the bed in place. I heard the door open and saw Heath coming in.
“Hey, you can’t be in here,” the doctor called.
“Bitch, if I’m not in the same room as my sister having her baby,” Heath said holding up her finger and continuing, “she’s going to wake up and the first thing she’ll do is knock you out for making that decision. So if you really want to have a broken nose when she wakes up, I’ll leave.”
The doctor let out an over exaggerated sigh, “Fine.” Heath came around the other side, stopping long enough to give me a secret high five. Heath grabbed onto her other hand as the nurses put up the sheet blocking us from view. A few minutes passed, Heath and I were doing our best to make sure she wasn’t in any pain while she was asleep, when we were interrupted by the sound of a crying baby. Heath and I both looked up to see him being taken over to the table to be wrapped up and cleaned. The nurse came over to me and handed me the gorgeous baby. I looked down at his face and held his little hand. I couldn’t believe he was finally here.
“Hello, baby Ryker. I’m your daddy,” I said as I felt his tiny hand grip onto my finger. That moment I knew, I was going to love and cherish this kid until it was my time to leave. I swayed back and forth holding him when his little eyes started to open slowly. A huge smile plastered on my face and I couldn’t help myself and I just awed. He looked up at me with his blue eyes, a wonderful thing he got from his mother, and yawned. Heath came over and grabbed him from me. She looked down at him and smiled.
“Welcome to the world, Ryker. Get ready for a life time of happiness. Especially with your aunt,” she said as she winked at him and played with his hands.

I sat in the room holding Ryker in my arms. Not getting enough of him. I sat there and let him squeeze my fingers. It was honestly the most magnificent thing I’ve ever seen. I saw Mia start fidgeting and she opened her eyes.
“Look Ryker, Mommy’s awake,” I stood up and Mia looked up at me holding her arms out. I placed Ryker in her arms and watched as she smiled down at him. Mia looked up at me and grabbed my hand.
“Look at the beautiful being we created,” she said looking back down at Ryker. Ryker chose then as his cue to smile at us. I saw Mia smiling from ear to ear and a couple tears had escaped her eyes. A smile grew onto my face just seeing these two so happy. As long as they were happy, I would be happy too.
*End of flashback*
Yes, we welcomed my little baby boy, Ryker, on September 23rd at 3:22am. Other than gaining a new addition, Mia and I decided that we can’t have two babies in the same house, or no one would get any sleep, so we moved back to my place and turned the guest bedroom beside our room into a nursery. The nursery was really cute. We painted the walls together making it turn out as a lovely forest with animals everywhere. Heath and Zacky brought over some stuffed animals that Luna didn’t like anymore, and they thought they would be useful for Ryker. We did decide that we wanted to know the gender because Mia couldn’t handle not knowing and it not being perfect.
A year passed and finally Zacky and Heath got married. I kept telling them they should before Luna was too old to be a flower girl. It was a wonderful ceremony; it was outside in a forest that was specifically meant for weddings. Luna was, of course, the flower girl and Ryker ended up being the ring bearer.
Other than those pleasant times, we had a crazy busy life. Running from one house to the other, teaching Ryker how to walk, talk and all of the necessities, and just dealing with being parents. It was a job on its own. But I loved the job, I loved seeing how happy it made Mia when Ryker said mama for the first time, which I got jealous by because it was his first word but dada soon came after. I loved seeing how happy he made both of us, just because we brought him into the world.
