Damian's P.O.V

She has been laying in our bed for the last week, sleep with tubes sticking into her. I sleep on the couch with Dj in his cradle beside me. Callie has been doing all that she can and it is believed that she should be waking up soon.

Lily misses her sister and has been spending most of the week with Lucy. Lucy blames herself because she left Makayla but she did the right thing and protected the young. My mother comes in every night and undresses her and wipes her down before redressing her. My father comes in to check on me when he has the chance

My grandmother is completely heartbroken, she really took to Makayla and then there is me. I don't know what to do, I keep Dj with me as much as I can but I just don't feel right anymore. Makayla has to wake up and be okay

I'm currently sitting in a chair by her side of the bed and holding her hand. Her slightly tanned skin has became so pale and cold. It's almost as if I'm not holding her hands.

"Dinner is ready honey" My mother is standing in the doorway "You have to eat"

"I want to be right here when she wakes up" I say in response and squeeze her hand and for a second it's almost as if she squeezes back. I shake the thought from my head and decide food might be a good idea. I haven't eaten in about three days

I stand up from the chair and kiss her forehead before walking out the door and to the kitchen beside my mother. "Do you think she'll be okay" I ask her

"Of course dear. She'll be fine. After a little more rest she'll be right back to doing what she always does. Keeping you happy and taking care of those babies" She responds and smiles

The table has been set and the plates and bowls of the food is lined along the center of the table. Lucy is sitting beside the empty chair that is suppose to hold Lily

"Where is Lils?" I ask as I sit down in my normal seat at the head of the table with DJ laying on my chest

"She wanted to sit with Makayla for a little while. I told her I'd bring her dinner to her after we all ate" She says in response and reaches for a bowl of rolls and we pass it around the table "I can't wait much longer for her to wake up Damian. I need to tell her how sorry I am. I put the kids in the room and went back for her but I was too late" I can see the pain in her eyes

"You did what you should have done Lucy. You protected the young, it was instinct. I should never have left her alone to get y'all to safety. I should've taken y'all to the panic room myself and then went with the others"

"You can both blame yourselves but in the end it is neither of y'all's fault. She knew something was gonna happen and made sure that her child wasn't to be hurt. She wanted you to make sure they were safe... She has natural Luna instincts" My mother interrupts us, trying to make us feel better

I hear little footsteps running towards the dinning hall and Lily comes through the door looking around "Damian!" She yells and runs at me "Sissy moved! And made a weird noise but she's still sleeping" I jump to my feet and hold DJ to my chest as I quickly make my way to our room with Callie not far behind me

The door swings open as I rush inside and she's still in the same exact position I left her in

"Lily... It's not good to lie about stuff like that" I scold

"I'm not lying! She moved! I swear" she says

"Go eat dinner" I say and she storms from the room with her arms crossed. She has the same attitude as her sister and that worries me. Makayla's attitude towards things can get her hurt and that is the last thing I would want for Lily

I sit in the chair beside our bed and lay Dj on the bed beside his mother. I take her hand in between both of mine and place soft kisses from her wrist to her elbow. Something I discovered she really enjoyed feeling.

The worst part about all of this, is that I didn't get to take her home. To the cozy house I had bought for the four of us while she was away. My sisters had helped me decorate and it was going to be perfect. She loved to bake so I made sure to stock the pantry and had all the appliances she would need. The house was suppose to be our getaway after everything that had been happening and know I know that being king and my family being safe could clash and I'm not sure if I'm prepared for it
