I knew the moon would be up soon, my skin got tingly every night, before the moon was high up in the sky. Sat in the wooden chair in the spare bedroom, Caroline had confined me to this room till further notice. The thing was, I didn't know how long I could stay in control, so far, I had changed every night. The urge to escape this prison grew stronger, especially when the scent of other creatures filled my nose. I stared at the door, temptation prodding me to leave, I bit my lip.

"visser cette." (Screw this)

I got up and silently opened the door, the corridor was deserted. I stepped out and closed the door behind me, I continued down the corridor towards the large circular room. Lucky enough, no one was there. I continued to the dark tunnel, finding myself back in the book shop. This seemed too easy, but I wanted to get away. I took in a deep breath, taking in the smells around me, not a single human scent. I left the book shop and stood in the cobble stone street, the moons silver light shining down upon me. For once I smiled and gladly let the change happen.

I opened my eyes, I was on four legs and fur covered my body. I turned around and looked in the glass window. I saw a grey wolf staring back at me, with the same dark brown eyes as my own. I was there, inside the body, I controlled the wolf. I ran up the cobblestone street, the night breeze flowing through my grey fur. I was in control. I ran through the alley ways, reaching the edge of the old city where the country began. I stopped and breathed in the night air, filling myself with energy. I couldn't believe that I had fought this change for months. It was exhilarating. It was who I am. I'm the grey wolf. A natural leader. I wanted to be a pack leader.

I ran the night away. I had never experienced anything like it. Before I returned to the book shop, where I knew I'd be in trouble, I stopped outside a country home. Clothing was left in a basket on the back veranda, I made sure no one would notice a naked girl in the backyard before I changed. That's right. I changed without having to fall asleep. I pinch undies, again, leggings and a long sleeve shirt. It would do. I began the journey back to the book shop, where I expected to get one hell of a serving.

I had reached the main road when a four men blocked my way.

"You've got some nerve coming back here pup."

I recognised that voice. It was the guy who had attacked me last time.

"You want to get your arse kicked by me again, Sebastian?"

The man froze at the sound of his name. I couldn't help but smile, "What? That is your name right?"

"How do you-"

"I have my sources." I cut him off, crossing my arms. The other three guys tensed at my movement.

"Look fellas, I just had a great run and I'm feeling pretty good at the moment, so why don't you just move aside and no body gets hurt."

"Like you're gonna boss my around on my territory!"

"Your territory? You're the pack leader?"

"Yeah I am pup."

I felt a growl escape my lips, "don't call me pup."

Sebastian smirked, "Is that a threat? You're daddy was full of threats till I ripped him to pieces."

I felt my jaw drop and my eyes widen, "What?"

"Oh, you mean you're precious little hunter didn't tell you? I'm the one who made you an orphan." He sad icily. I felt anger boil up inside me, my teeth clenched. He smirked again, "Come on then, you've changed once already, twice is too much for a pup."

That was the last straw. I ran at him, changing in the process, I pounced and landed on top of him in full wolf form. Surprise covered his face, "Impossible!"

I bared my teeth, ready to tear his throat out.

"Get her off me!"

Something impacted my right side, knocking me off Sebastian. I rolled back onto my paws, an amber wolf stood before me, ready to attack again. I growled at him, he jumped up to land on me but I was faster than him. I jumped to the side and wrapped my iron jaw around his neck, he yelped in pain and surprise, trying to shake me off but I bit down harder. Part of his body turned limp as he began to whimper, I let go, dropping him to the ground. For some reason, I couldn't kill him. I turned back to Sebastian and the other two, growling at them, daring them to attack me again. They all flinched, once I was satisfied that they weren't going to attack me, I ran off in the direction of the book shop. With the feeling of pride and victory. That was until Caroline got a hold of me.
