Chapter 4
"no...no...no...NO NANNY EVE!!" I screamed torn between disbelief and sadness. I knelt down to my nanny's side as the doctors moved to make room for me. Her clothes were all ripped and splattered in her crimson blood. Her body was all in cuts, and there were two holes on the side of her... neck? Lillian stayed in her position and froze, but Jacob saw me and came over to comfort me. He put his cold arm around my shoulders and he placed my head on his neck whispering, "it's okay, don't worry everything is gonna be okay. Don't cry, shh." How could I not cry?? I turned and whimpered into his chest.
"Jacob, can you please bring my daughter to my study," my father cleared his throat and stiffened, "I would um... like to explain the matter to her."
Jacob got up and brought me to my feet. He tugged on my hand, but I wouldn't budge. I looked at my poor nanny lying on the floor. I couldn't leave her. When I didn't move, Jacob went over and picked me up bridal-style. I repeatedly hit him in the chest and screamed at him to let me go.
"You're just making it worse. Please, Jayden, just cooperate with me." Jacob sighed as I kicked and screamed in the air.
Wait... there were holes in her neck! Blood was splattered, and she no doubt was drained of her blood. Vampires. The question was: Who did this, and why??

Jacob's POV
She wasn't much to handle, but watching her was so upsetting. Of course I knew who did it. It was a vampire, and anyone could figure that out. When Jayden's crying calmed down, she started screaming instead. Man was that loud. People turned to stare at us but it didn't look like she noticed.
"You're just making it worse. Please, Jayden, just cooperate with me." I looked at her and sighed, but she just kept going.
After I reached the Main Hall, her brown eyes popped open with horror. She probably figured it out. I carried her all the way to the third floor to the King's study. It was such a big room. It still surprised me even though I went there 5 times already. By the time I settled Jayden down onto a couch, she was sobbing. This girl has a lot of tears. I knelt down next to her and gazed into her beautiful eyes, but she just turned away.
"I'm sorry about your... nanny." I said softly, wiping away her tears. She averted her eyes, and didn't reply.
Moments later the King appeared with two men. Jayden was sitting on the couch, and I was right by her side. The king slipped over and knelt down to his daughter. He cupped her wet pink cheeks into his hand and gave her a hug.

Zach's POV

Lizzy and I decided to walk normally for the tour. If we walked too fast, we would have seen every room in this castle in less than an hour. In every room we walked into, she would take out her hot pink lipstick and rub it all over her thin lips. She gets that habit from mother.
"I can't believe you made me try to be nice to that wench. She is such a lame excuse for a girl, I mean seriously when was the last time she took a shower?" Lizzy said to me while fumbling with her mirror. "And why did you have to pull me away when I was talking with her, I think I did a perfect job."
"Well, I had to get you out of there before you said something stupid," I replied as I was toying with a grandfather clock, "and she doesn't smell bad at all."
"Maybe. Maybe not. Her blood seems good enough though." Lizzy's eyes danced mischievously and she licked her glossy lips.
"Liz, you know your not supp-"
"Yeah, yeah. I know." She got out her phone and it beeped ferociously, "Where the hell is Kylee when I need her?"
As I was about to pull her out of the room my little brother, Cameron, came running towards me.
"Oh there you are man. I've been like looking all over for you. Yo, you know some lady got attacked by some vampires. Jake was first to spot her and he found out that she was drained of her blood." Cameron said, running out of breath. "Lily was just there too. You know her, always scared for other people. She said she won't leave the woman's side until she's properly buried."
Cameron's voice was tired out from all the running, but I could hear him crystal clear. Liz peeked over her shoulder and cocked her head. I bet she only heard half the story. Same old, same old.
