Chapter 3

*Seth's POV*

She looked scared and she tried to push me. I didn't want to scare her so I just moved and let her go. She ran upstairs to her room and closed the door.

She was really beautiful. Her long black her, her unique grey eyes which had a blue - green outline, her clear skin and her perfect figure. She was so perfect. 

I don't know why but I was really very angry because of whatever happened today outside the ice cream parlor.

I walked up to my room and banged the door hard. I sat on my bed thinking about her. I heard a small knock on my door.

Maybe she wants to talk to me ? Or cry ? Did she need me to be with her and comfort her or something ?

Gosh! What am I thinking, it's not even been one day since she's come here!!

"Yes, come in.", I said.

My dad appeared and sat next to me on my bed and asked, "What happened?"

"Nothing dad."

"Tell me."

"We had gone to the ice cream parlor and while we were coming back out, to come back home, some guys came. One just.... ONE OF THE BASTARD JUST CAUGHT HER AND KEPT HER SO CLOSE. I COULDN'T STOP MY SELF. WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO LOOK SO ATTRACTIVE ? Sh-she was so scared out there. I-I don't know..."

I couldn't understand what I was even talking.

Maybe I was just worried about her. Off course I'd be worried for her, she is my childhood friend. She may have forgotten everything but I still remember her.

My dad kept a hand around my shoulder and said "Calm down, Seth. It's okay. Even I had such anger for anyone eve teasing or troubling any girl in anyway. It's natural, just calm down and I think you should just rest for a while."

I nodded. He ruffled my hair and left the room. I took off my shirt and changed into my track pants and jumped on my bed. I just closed my eyes and driffted off to sleep slowly.

*Skylar's POV*

I could hear someone whispering to someone. They were in my room. I recognised who they were but I kept my eyes closed and heard them.

"She was so small back then and so beautiful and sweet. You took great care of her.", Drianna whispered.

"She is an amazing daughter. She never demanded or cried for anything. She just accepted whatever she got and always helped me in everything.", Mom said.

"After Mike, Zachary and Daina passed away, you were so brave and took up the responsibility to take care of her. I don't know if I would be so strong enough if I were in your place.."

"Mike was my love. And will always be. Daina was a great friend of ours and I dint want her baby to be alone..... I dint have my own baby, and she became so close to me", mom said.

Mike was her husband. She told me he lost his life while fighting in a small war. He was in the Army. And my parents, she said that they had died in a car accident. I never asked her anything much about them. I was just 4 when they died. I don't remember anyone's face except for my dad. I remember his face so clearly till today.

It became silent for a while. No one spoke. I could just feel in mom's voice that she wanted to cry but she was controlling herself. She was really strong.

Drianna said, "Does she know about .. you know what I mean.. like how they died? And has she got it in her ?"

"No to all answers...... come on let's go make dinner ready. It's already 7.", mom said softly in a sad tone.

They left and closed the door slowly.

What were they talking about? What did I not know about them? Were they hiding something from me? Forget it.

SHIT IT'S 7 ? Woah.. I slept till 7 !

I got up and washed my face. I stared into those eyes in front of me. They were beautiful. I got them from my dad. He had the same eyes too, I remember.

Wait... she just said I dint know how they died ? But . . leave it. Mom will tell me the truth when she thinks it is the right time.

I walked out of my bedroom and saw Seth's door was closed. I walked down to the kitchen and saw mom and Drianna were cooking. They smiled at me and asked me if I had a good sleep and all. We had a small talk about my school life and what I wanted to do now..

I already got admission in one of the colleges here. Seth was going in the same one.

Mom gave me a new phone and a new number to use here. I quickly messaged Aliana which she replied instantly with a call. We spoke for a while and when we ended the call I realised I was outside, behind the house walking on the grass. It became dark really fast. I went in and sat on the table ready for dinner. I was hungry.

All came for dinner. Seth sat in front of me and kept looking into his plate, eating quietly. He dint wear any shirt and I had a difficult time trying keep my eyes off his muscles that flexed every time he moved.

We finished our dinner and me and Seth went to our rooms quitely, while mom Drianna and Drake watched TV and chatted in the Hall.

I saw a missed call on my phone from an unknown number. It must be by mistake so I dint bother to call back or message the person. But after 5 minutes, the same number called and I picked up.

I said, "Hello?"

"Hey baby boo...", he said.

"From where did you get my number?".

Anger came accross my face. I hated him. Why did he still want me when I left a month back already?! AND HOW DID he get my number. Other than mom and Aliana nobody had it. Aliana? No... she wouldn't do that... or would she?

"Baby boooo, why dint you tell me that you're going so far? You know I don't like you being away from my sight."

"JUST SHUT THE HELL UP. I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE AND IT'S BEEN A MONTH SINCE I LEFT YOU JUST STAY OUT OF MY FREAKIN' LIFE."

"Hahahaha.. you think you can run away from me like this so easily? Naaah.. you're mine. You like it or not, but it's the truth."

I cut the call without a word and blocked the number in my phone. Luckily this new phone had this option, which my old one dint. I kept the phone and was about to sit on my bed before my door just swung open.

Seth was standing there. He came in and closed the door behind. What did he want?! Why do his actions freak me out at times..

"Who was that?", he said coming and standing in front of me.

"No-nobody, I-I just.. I just got a call from an unknown number.. yeah, a call from unknown number.."

"Tell. Me." he said.. coming closer to me. I walked back and was stopped by the wall behind me.

"Um o-okay I will tell you b-but you just sit on that end of the bed and jus-just be calm o-okay?", I said.

He obediently sat on the bed and I came and sat down too. He came closer and said with a smile in a soft voice "Now tell me.. don't worry I won't get angry at you. I won't scare you Sky, we used to be best friends and we still are. Now spill."

I smiled at him and told him, "I had a boyfriend, in London. We dated for around 4 months. He started getting too possessive. One day he got really angry because I walked back home after school with a guy, and he s-slapped me really hard. I never let him kiss me because I-I think I want my f-first kiss to be with my husband in the future. I may sound like some dumb female but a kiss m-means a lot to me, even b-being a virgin does. He was f-frustrated because of this reason. He tried to force me once b-but luckily one of his friends c-came and stopped him. He n-never forced me to kiss again and he said that he would be my husband and h-he would be th-the one t-to break my v-virginity and t-that he will m-make sure he g-gets me.".

I couldn't stop my self and I started crying. Seth hugged me and I cried hiding my face in his chest. He rubbed his hand on my back and told me not to worry about anything.. I continued to cry in his chest and he let me.
