Insane Love

Arkham Asylum

Harleen Quinzel walked down the halls of the Arkham Asylum where she worked as a physiatrist.It was her fourth day working with her patient,the Joker who she had taken quite liking to him just like he had taken a liking to her.
~first session with the Joker~
Harleen walked in to the Jokers room."Hello Mr.Joker.I am Harleen Quinzel but you can just call me Dr.Quinzel,and I will be your new physiatrist."She said.
The Joker laughed,"Well well well.Aren't YOU a just precious little thing?"he laughed again as Harleen blushed brightly."Okay,uh...well lets talk about something easy."She said as she sat down in front of him,across the table."Tell me about yourself."
"What do you want to know?"He replied.
"How was your childhood?"
"Boring.You're eyes are really pretty."
Harleen blushed again.
"Please,lets keep this as professional as possible."She said in a question-like tone.
"This isn't professional?"he asked.
"Not the most."
She bit her lip.
"Now,how about your childhood-*the Joker interrupted*
"Blah blah blah!That's BORING!"he shouted,"Let's talk about something ELSE,shall we?Like YOU?"
Harleen continued to bite her lip and she started to mess with the end of her dirty blonde hair which is what she started to do when she got nervous.
"Mr.Joker that's-*the joker interrupted again*
"It's Mr.J"
"Mr.J...."she said slowly,"Well,see we're here to talk about yourself.Not me.
"Pretty please!"Mr.J pouted.
"Mr.J....."Harleen stopped as she started to stare into his emerald green eyes as he stared right into her baby blue ones.Harleen didn't realize how close they had gotten until she felt his breath on her lips and before she could even think of what to say or do he kissed her,and she kissed right back.
~present time/Harleens P.O.V.~
He's so charming and funny....yes hes got is issues but don't we all?I know I know it's very inappropriate and unprofessional to be falling in love with my patient but how couldn't I?!He understands me like no one ever could and I love him....I have to accept the fact that I'm in love with a criminal,'I thought as I walked in to the Jokers room.
"Well hello Harley,"the Joker said with a smile,"My beautiful Harley."
I blushed brightly and sat down across from him.'Harley' is what Mr.J had started calling me lately.He said it sounded cute yet dangerous.I don't know how but all I know is that I loved it.
"Hello Mistah J.Hows it going?
~Jokers P.O.V~
I grinned as she said,"Mistah J."I loved her accent.Harleys opened up alot to me since these last few days which meant her accent had started to become more frequent.I've opened up alot to her lately as well.More then I've ever opened to anyone... Ever.And as much as I hate to admit....I think I'm falling in love with her.....no I know I am....I've never been in love and for the first time ever,I'm actually scared...scared of losing her,scared of what might happen between us....scared of what I might become...scared of what SHE might become.... she had told me that she thought she was falling in love with me yesterday,on our third session so I just smiled and kissed her.I couldn't tell her I'm falling for her!That'd be crazy!.....stupid crazy I mean.I can't be IN LOVE.I just can't!I'm the Joker!But all I know is that tonight,I'm breaking out of this damn place....and I need her.
"Better since you arrived."I replied with a smile.She giggled lightly and smiled....that smile....it was perfection.Pure perfection.Just like herself.
"Harley,"I said,"pumpkin I have something to tell you."I looked at her and she looked at me with a small smile.
"What is it Puddin'?"
I looked down,not wanting to see her facial expression when I told her.
"I'm escaping....tonight...."I looked up and watched as confusion and hurt covered her face.
"Tonight?"She asked."Y-you're leaving me?"I winced lightly.I heard her voice crack and saw those baby blue eyes fill with disappointment.
"Yes..."I said as I bit my lip,looking at Harley who just nodded silently.
"I-I'll help you if you want...."she stated and I just started at her.
"You would?"I asked and she just looked me like I was stupid.
"Of course.Mistah J....I was serious when I said I thought I was falling in love with you....I AM falling in love with you."She said.I just smiled slowly..
"Wait in front of the building tonight at nine o'clock.That's all I want you to do.I've gotta surprise."I said,smiling at her.She gave me a small smile back as we leaned in and kissed each other.
~8:45 pm/Harleys P.OV.~
I waited outside the asylum,waiting for nine o'clock to stroll around and for Mr.J to give me his surprise.I watched as four people in costumes walked in.I didn't think much about it.Halloween was right around the corner so it really didn't concern me.I stood there for another good five minutes until I heard gunshots fire from within the building.
"PUDDIN'!"I screamed as I ran into the asylum towards Mr.Js room.I prayed that he was okay.I can't lose him I just can't!I felt my mind break a little at the thought of losing him.As I got closer to his hall,the gunshots got louder.
Oh great,I thought.I stared down the hallway as I saw the four men who were wearing the costumes shooting at the security guards.I was about to risk getting shot and most likely even dying and run down to his room until I felt a cold hand grip my arm.I whipped around as I saw Mr.J staring at me with those emerald eyes of his....and he did not look happy.Not.One.Bit.
"I thought I told you to wait for me?!"He yelled over the gunshots,despite the gunshots he probably would've yelled anyways.He looked pissed.
"I-I-I'm sorry!I was but then I heard the gunshots and I just....I just couldn't risk losing you!"I said with tears in my eyes.The Joker stared at me and grabbed my hands,running outside.He ran to a purple lamborghini and put me in the passenger side as he got in the drivers side.
"Harley girl,"he said as he looked up at me,"That was so brave yet at the same time so stupid."I laughed as he smiled."Wanna go for a ride?"
I laughed again and smiled."Yes."I said as he drived off into the night,away from Arkham Asylum.
