I paced back and forth by Gerard's limp body, waiting for him to wake up, constantly stopping, crouching, and checking his pulse. I wanted him to be alive. I loved him. He loved me. He was my soulmate.
Just after I checked his pulse, Lindsey and Bandit had come from nowhere.
"I hit that golf ball at Gerard. On purpose," she said to me, very sternly.
"What!?" I said in a shocked and angry tone.
"Bandit, could you please excuse us?" Bandit wasn't crying because her dads body was limp. I knew she saw him, but she was perfectly content. Bandit walked down to a pavilion nearby. "I hit that pink golf ball straight at Gerard."
"Why would you do that!?"
"He lied to me! Why else do you think!?"
"He di..." I paused in the middle of my sentence. Gerard had sat up. He was awake. "Gerard! Are you okay!?"
"What happened?" Gerard responded, tiredly and confused.
"I guess Lindsey saw us and hit the golf ball at you, because you lied to her."
"Lied to her about what?"
"You said you were working at the studio all day! Not mini golfing with Frank! You know how much I hate it when you hangout with Frank!" Lindsey blurted out.
"I have a life! If I want to hang out with Frank, I will!" Gerard said. I decided I would back out of the conversation. I wasn't going to try and eavesdrop, but I did anyways because they were yelling.
"You know what!?" Lindsey yelled out.
"What!" Gerard responded
"You. Know. What."
"I said what!"
"If you're going to lie to me and hang out with Frank, the guy I despise, then you and I are done!"
"Fine! I don't know why I married you anyway!"
It was awkward for me. I didn't want to witness them fight. I also didn't want to be the reason why.
I didn't know what our relationship would be like now. I ruined his marriage. His happy family. I was about to cry.
